I have a love/hate relationship with this attraction. The queue is so much fun to explore and the effects in the show are larger than life... it's no wonder since we're seeing the world through the eyes of itty bitty bugs. Parts of the show are very loud and scary. Especially for very small children. I haven't been to one show where at least one young child crying in fear wasn't being carried out of the theater. Watch out for those spiders!

There's no "Tree of Life", but the Bugs lives are still fun to watch, smell and feel in 3D...get a fastpass and tell the little ones that Hopper is just the big Uncle of Jimminy Cricket...go, have fun & save me a seat(one w/o bugs).

I LOVE this! One of the best shows EVER! I enjoy the muppets, but this is in a class of it's own. Best 3D show I've experienced. It's a must see. At least once.

I really like this. Small children do get frightned on this, because that can't tell the difference between what's real and what's not. It's a must see.

Not so great with little kids because they keep wanting to take the glasses off but it has always been a favorite of mine ever since we did it in Disney World back in 2000.

My entire family loves the show. We only make it to the resort one week a year, but are always sure to see "It's Tough to be a Bug" at least every day that we visit. It's a riot!

Cute, but the first time we watched the wasps sting really hurt my back. Remembered the next time to sit a bit forward so that wouldn't happen again. Not always worth the wait if you get there between shows.

We caught this show late on our third night...if only we knew better! So much better than the "Shrunk" show in the main park. We are planning a return visit to California Adventure based on our enjoyment of this feature alone. An absolute must see. Don't underestimate California Adventure!

This is not for the Squeemish!!!Thankfully I am not. Love this 3-D best out of all. With the animatronics it emulates classic disney dark rides with a 3-D movie twist.

Of the Disneyland Resort 3D movies I experienced during my Nov 2002 trip, this was the one I managed to work in two visits to (not easy with reduced DCA hours during a business trip!)

This is NOT an attraction for the under 7 set. Over that age and it is Imagineering Genius!

This 3D adventure rocks! Much better than MuppetVision. The 3D effects are really cool, and the sites, sounds, feelings, and even smells are great!

Interestingly, I found myself somewhat underwhelmed over It's Tough to be a Bug. The best detailed queue in all of DCA's Attractions, a couple AA figures, and other gags help make this entertaining. It's a little on the short side...and I'm hoping Disney won't inundate us with ONE MORE 3D film, until DCA gets some ride-throughs.

Pay attention to the warnings about being too intense for younger kids. It is! We had a couple of them who wanted to go desppite the warnings but wished they had not later.

This is a very fun attraction! One of the best 3D shows that Disney has created. A must-see attraction. However, there were some scenes in the show that actually made me fear for my life! Because of this, I would not recommend this attraction for younger children. Also, the music in the queue (which sounds like bugs are himming famous Disney songs) is very enjoyable.

If you like your attractions to be "intense," then this is for you. (Reminds me of certain effects in HISTA.) While I found the animatronics very cool, the creepy crawly sensations were too much for this sensitive viewer!

This is one of the best "rides" in the park! Some might find it creepy with bugs crawling, stinging, and swatting you, but this was almost as good as CA Screamin'!

One of the many highlights of DCA. The 3D is by far the best I have seen, and the special effects in the theater put even the entertaining HISTA to shame. This is a wonderful attraction, with a wonderful queue and pre-show. Just be wary if you have kids, this thing is intense.

Great Show but not for some kids or people that hate bugs and spiders.Nice to see Flik again but Hopper can be scary up close since he's an Audio-Animatronic Grasshopper so don't sit at the right front row. Don't forget to hold your nose when the stink bug does its thing!P.U.!

Although missing the tree of life above the auditorium as in Animal Kingdom, this version of Bugs special effects seemed more real and the shocking(but fun). My daughter(7) though,was scared and would not wear the 3D glasses.

This show was fast paced and did not relay on its visuals as much as it did on having many in-theater effects to frighten you. It reminded me of an Alien Encounter for kids. The time I rode it will be the last as the effects really did frighten me, as I don't like to feel bugs crawling across my skin and stinging my head. For people who like that stuff, Bugs is the best interactive show around.
