More popular with younger kids. Offers a large variety of hands on and virtual exhibits/games. A great place to hang out for a bit to learn something new and get a break from the heat and the crowds.

Good for people who like technology. Also good if you need to kill time waiting for a FastPass in Tomorrowland. Skip it if you're pressed for time.

User ID: USCSurfer   Thrill: 2  Theme: 2  Overall: 2 (1/22/2008)
I appreciate what they are trying to do here, but I just miss America Sings. Bring it back (or at least turn it into another carousel ride along the lines of Sings, or Carousel of Progress).

A trip to the bathroom is almost more entertaining than this boring mess. Skip with a clear concience.

Not one of the best attractions, but, we thought it was ok.... the ASIMO show was really neat !!!

I don't care for Innoventions.

great air conditioning. Disney, isn't it about time to UPGRADE Innoventions

Instead of Fast Pass, just pass!

User ID: plus4db   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 2 (4/15/2006)
Is it time to retire Innoventions, yet? Poor technology and not very impressive. I've got better stuff at home! It is, however, worth it for Asimo the robot. He's the only real innovention there.

User ID: Bgoofi   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 4 (4/2/2006)
There is something for everybody to do. You might have to wander around a little bit, but there is bound to be something that catches your eye.

This is just another example of damage pressler did to DL

User ID: MrsNavarro   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 3 (3/8/2005)
This is a good place to go when the day gets really hot. All the kids get to play with all sorts of computer gadgets. Basically they get to touch everything, when normally you would be saying " don't touch that!" I think it's rather neat!

User ID: Tannerman   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 1 (1/14/2005)
This is the worst Disneyland theme park attraction.

User ID: The_Princess_Ariel   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 1 (10/2/2004)
I can't believe they took forever to put this load of poo here after closing down "America Sings". The stuff is okay but I don't really like it.

User ID: Disneyland_Princess   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 1 (7/29/2004)
I HATE IT SOOO MUCH!It ruins Disneyland complety Its boring dull and stupid.Who wants to spend there time at Dl looking at some JUNK?!

THIS RIDE SUCKS!Its bad!One time I went with my freind and her parents and they kept looking around and I wanted to leave so bad I started crying.ITS DEPPRESSING AND IT MAKES ME WANT TO PUKE!

User ID: disneymom5   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 3 (6/14/2004)
this was an exhibit that was ok. The kids were a bit bored, but, did have fun being able to touch and try everything in here. If you are in a hurry, not an exhibit to see, but, if you have time, it is fun to look at.

User ID: OC-Supertones4Life   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 4 (8/19/2003)
Inooventions should be replaced by a better "ride". The only good thing about it is the free videogames. They have Kingdom Hearts and this Rollercoaster making game.

User ID: Time8   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 1 (7/22/2003)
Should have left America Sings, it was much more enjoyable...

User ID: InnoDude   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 4 (7/21/2003)
I loved it! A Cast Member showed me a secret room upstairs with new unreleased video games. Its by Cast Member invite only. They serve refreshments and have a bathroom. Ask a Cast Member upstairs next time you're there!

User ID: Brer Doug   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 2 (7/2/2003)
This attraction is Okay Its not the best one here in Disneyland But it IS a Nice place to go to enjoy video games and stuff not too bad

User ID: BigJim89   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 1 (6/2/2003)
Disney at its worst! Absolutely horrible! This is by far a huge waste of space! Lame, boaring, stupid...; the list goes on and on

User ID: markedward   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 1 (5/29/2003)
I'm techie enough, I should like this. But it is so chaotic! Some things don't work. Some are impossible to figure out without help from a cast member - and they're great but too outnumbered.

User ID: disneygirl77   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 1 (4/1/2003)
I agree with a lot of the comments here-this doesn't belong in Disneyland, it belongs in a Science Museum. We didn't even spend 15 minutes in this building. They seriously need to rethink this attraction's future.

User ID: Disneydaniel   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 1 (2/21/2003)

User ID: Day   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 3 (2/18/2003)

User ID: SpaceCadet-5281   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 3 (12/28/2002)
A great pass-time! I usually spend an hour or so in it, playing the video games. I also really like the GM attraction and the Virtal Room. Its a great thing to do when waiting for your fp time.

User ID: SuperFoxtrot   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: Unrated (12/26/2002)
Could Disney maybe consider leaving at least one or two attractions at WDW and not making copies at DL? I mean, no one's gonna go to DL pretty soon if they have the same attractions. Maybe they should concentrate on making a few more DL-Only attractions.

User ID: skaterfreakboi   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 4 (10/13/2002)

User ID: juicer   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 2 (2/9/2002)
I give it a "2" instead of a "1" Only because of Tom Marrow. He is kind of hipnotic to stand and look at him through a couple of revolutions of the building. Otherwise it's kind of boring.

User ID: JimG   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 1 (2/9/2002)
The CM folks in Innoventions tries hard, but.. er.. I dearly wish Carrousel of Progress was back there.., or just about anything else. :/

User ID: Jcochran   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 1 (2/9/2002)
My wife and I were rather disappointed with this attraction. We felt like we were in our local Freys. Even with an open mind, it does not live up to being something compelling. Even my two kids of 11 & 13 found it rather boring. We were out in 10 minutes. Once was enough. We are waiting for the keepers of the park to come up with something new. This will not do. For other families on tight time schedules, my recommendation is 'skip it.' Not worth the time, when there are other attractions of better merit.

User ID: Tredawg   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 4 (4/15/2001)
Hello,
I am a Cast Member at this attraction and I just want to say that it makes me sad to see that many Guests do not enjoy this attraction as much as the others at Disneyland. All I can say is that we (the CM's) do everything we can to try to make Innoventions as entertaining as possible. There is much talk lately of changes that will be taking place at this attraction in the next six months, so if you are not in love with Innoventions now, maybe give it another try sometime soon...: )

User ID: sallah   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 3 (3/28/2001)

User ID: connie   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 2 (3/28/2001)
The kids love it. I don't like it because I can't keep track of the kids. Now that they are older, we let them go in and set a time to come out and we go do something else.

User ID: smb   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 1 (3/28/2001)
What a disapointment. My fiancee and I loved WDW Innoventions. We spent 3 hours just exploring. But the DL version was really lacking. The outside building and Tom Morrow introduction were fantastic. But once we entered the exibit, we found it incredibly unimaginative and, well, dull. (One interesting note: We heard the original Journey into Imagination theme playing in there. Probably the last place to hear it in any Disney park now that the original is closed)

User ID: KevAct1   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 2 (3/28/2001)
The only reason we went into it is because it was raining. It is somewhat fun, but not that great. We were only in there for ten minutes, but I was bored after five. Some of the things are cool, but I wouldn't recommend it. Do something else that is truly Disney.

User ID: bargle   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 2 (3/28/2001)
One big ad... I rahter see anything else... The only reason I'm even giving it a 2 is becase it is a free arcade...

User ID: JenniBarra   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 2 (1/30/2001)
DL's Innoventions is a pale shadow of the Innoventions found at WDW. I could easily lose hours in the WDW version, while DL doesn't seem to have as many of the "toys." It also emphasized technology I could just as easily have found in my own home (remember the DIG portal?) Part of the fun is getting to tinker with things that *are* the future.

User ID: jeremywilliams   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 3 (1/30/2001)
I love Innoventions. It is a great look into the technology which is here and now, but still escapes the general public. To be enjoyed, it must be understood that all of the technology is up and coming. A few short years ago my wife and I visited Innoventions in Florida (Epcot) on our honeymoon and they were showing us this new fandangled device that looked like a CD but played movies...

User ID: terror t   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 3 (1/30/2001)

What has happened to Disneyland? It used to be such a nice place. It is now becoming a mall with the only difference that you pay $40 to get in

User ID: sjdimon   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 1 (1/30/2001)
SUCKS!

Alright...it's a nice (big and EMPTY!) place to escape from the heat, now that the PeopleMover, Subs, and America the Beautiful are all gone! Hey...why not bring us a Left Coast version of Ice Station Cool....(nah....free beverages would cut into profits -- rule of Acquisition #217 "Never give for free what a customer would pay for"...yes, I truly believe that the FERENGI are now running Disney.... We can blame Eisner, Pressler, Wall Street, and all the greedy investors out there, for giving us (the Disneyland going public) this "less than Disney standard" dud that I wish they would tear down IMMEDIATELY! Dynamite anybody?

User ID: oldgoofy   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 2 (11/21/2000)
I would rether see the
"Carosel of Progress" back and updated. it was OK the first time but still not up to DISNEY standards. I don't think Walt would be that happy with it.

User ID: TikiDude   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 2 (9/26/2000)
The spiel from the hosts and hostesses is unexciting and the exhibits are not very engaging. But when the LA sun beats down at 95 degrees, you'll be glad this place exists. It's a nice spot to stroll about and sample some of the new software that Disney's marketing. My daughter managed to find some new titles before they were released out on retail.

User ID: RENEEB   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 1 (9/26/2000)
Not nearly as good as it could be. The building bould be put to better use.

User ID: joncsufdl   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 4 (9/26/2000)
Innoventions is the next step in the footsteps of Carosel of Progress. Why sit and watch the technology when you can play with it yourself? The CM's train to be the best at Dland. The original Tomorrowland had almost no rides, rather it was envisioned by Walt as a showcase of what's to come. What most people don't realize is that Innoventions gets new gadgets in all the time! All of the technology has been invented and are going to be part of our lives in the not-so-distant future! So, come on in, watch the shows, enjoy the friendliness, play with free games (a nice break from the costly Starcade), bask in the AC, and leave whenever you want! A taste of EPCOT at Disneyland.... what more could you ask for? -Jon

User ID: Daannzzz   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 2 (9/26/2000)
I love what the Imagineers did with the exterior of the carousel building. My choice for the best part of the "Improved" Tomorrowland. I do not go inside though after my initial visit. This is not what I go to Disney for.

User ID: Jim in Pasadena CA   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 2 (9/26/2000)
The trouble is, Science museums across the country are Imagineered better than this place. The layout is confusing, the exhibits are average, and the ambience is TOO LOUD!

User ID: Bigthundermtn   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 1 (9/26/2000)

I like the building, that's why I started to work in there. I love watching all the kids have a blast playing the games and looking around, and how kids wave at Tom Morrow. If not for adults, then the kids love it, at least most of the ones I've talked to. Give it a world, go in there with a good attitude, if your having a bad day in the park, then I don't recomend Innoventions, if you are then great, drop by, I'll do a game show for you.

Sincerely,

Juve

Great redo on the look outside-it almost looks like a huge UFO. Would have been much better utilized as a themed restaurant in alien/sci-fi style, or perhaps Alien Encounter like WDW has. Best thing about inside is "Who Wants to Be A Millionaire", and that can be bought for your computer anyway.

User ID: Coop   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 1 (6/17/2000)
Tom Morrow is cool and it's a nice place to escape from the sun and crowds. But it seems that this large piece of prime Tomorrowland relestate could be put to better use than a big advertisement. i would ahve rather seen a show brought back to the carousel theatre format.

The only good thing about Innoventions is the AA figure that introduces you (best yet). And that it has A/C for that "escape from the hot sun" on those hot summer days.

After being dormant for 10 long years the carousel theater reopens at the height of the Disney Company's "lets slash budgets" days!

The longer this sleeper Attraction goes, the fewer people it will attract, and hopefully we'll all get lucky .... and see a big bulldozer come in and nock the whole building down, and we can all look forward to something that will make everybody smile.

One of the worst ways to waste the space of the Carusel of Progress building. It had appeared to had been thrown togerther in a matter of months with ideas borrowed from the California Science Center. The only thing innovative or entertaining about it was the Audio-Animatronic figure who greeted guests as they enter. A complete waste of time. The Imagineers could have at least replicated the good parts of the Epcot center counterpart.

Innoventions is blessed with one of Disney's best theme songs, but is cursed with boring and oudated commercial exhibits. The GM display is the only burst of real entertainment in this building, but their "show car" is actually a 1996 Chevy Blazer with a snazzy paintjob! Innovative? Skip Innoventions if you have less than two days at Disneyland. The drama club CM's here can get on your nerves real fast too.

Tom Morrow was cool but from that point on I spent my whole time trying to get out. It felt more like a big advertisement. Poor job by Disney and crew.

Not as good as it could be (who has the energy to concentrate on some of these subjects when they are touring Disneyland) but the most entertaining attraction ever installed in this building.

Although not as elaborate as the WDW attraction, still lots to see.

Very boring. Disney, of all companies can surely think of something better to put here...

Mixed bag. The GM area is worth the wait.

An interesting multi-platform showcase of innovative products and technology of tomorrow. While some younger Disney visitors may become bored and ready to move on to more conventional Disneyland attractions, this version of Walt Disney World's similar showcase is interesting and informative. Guests not staying more than one day at Disneyland may wish to bypass many of the elements within Innoventions, as the whole experience is very time-consuming and may seriously drain your time for other Disneyland attractions.
