Don't expect any thrills on this one. A ride on the Mark Twain only guarantees a peaceful and nostalgic experience. If you don't want to be immersed in the beautiful atmosphere of the river I suggest skipping this memorable journey.

Nice, slow ride for a crowded day. Take a break and sit a spell. As previously mentioned, try to ride with the Cap'n. My seven year old daughter swears to this day that she steered that ship from dock to dock. Real memory maker.

An old, tired Classic ride down the Rivers of America..if you can get into the wheelhouse it notches up the fun somewhat...and a whistle blow will take you over the top...otherwise, it's a fun ride if you can sit on the bow and watch the various World's of Disney slowly pass by.

Plesant enough boat rip around The Rivers of America, but nothing amazing, but it doesn't need to be. Nice attraction to calm down on and take a rest form all the excitment. Possibly best for kids under 10 and adults over 45.

Quiet, nice & relaxing. It was especially fun to be able to ride in the wheel house, toot the whistle and ring the bell. It made our 31st anniverary so much more fun.

Fun if you ride with the captian.

I really enjoy this ride especially on a cloudy day with a few sprinkles. But I remember as a child seeing the little cabin at the back of Tom Sawyer island on "fire". Can't wait to take my neice and nephews for their first time!

We were resting up from our morning Adventureland Marathon when my partner, seemingly out of the blue, thought it was time to ride the Mark Twain. No sooner had we taken a great position than the Disneyland Band - whom he had noticed and I hadn't - started a concert on the dock. Then they boarded the riverboat and took up position on the bow just below us. To make this pleasant attraction awesome, ride along with the Band, or, especially if there are kids, visit the pilot house.

This is an excellent ride to go on to see the Riversof america and other stuff too. You should ride this ride as soon as you can since lines can tend to be longer as the day goes on, I recommend this ride too.

always a great way to spend a few minutes!

Nice way to relax, more so than it's a Small World since there's no distraction really. Where else can you sail on Steam Boat anyway?

For anybody to complain about this ride being boring is just ridiculous. With a little bit of sense you can see that the Mark Twain was not made for adventure but for the pleasure of a paddleboat trip. I have been on it a hundred times and still find something else to see on every trip.

Even if you never ride it can you imagine the Rivers of America without it? An indispensible part of the Disneyland scenery.

The Mark Twain is like your mom - you don't always visit, but it's nice to know she's there.

Relaxing and peaceful. A nice respite from the crowds with a great view.

many happy memories - I love the step back in time!

Relaxing ride, but I think it would be better off themed as an attraction in New Orleans Square. When I think of Mark Twain, I think of the South (like New Orleans), and not Frontierland.

User ID: Kerrie   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 3 (4/9/2000)
Nothing is prettier than the Mark Twain. I like to go up top and watch all the ducks swimming in the river...and who can't help but love that burning settler's cabin (even if it's not burning anymore)?

User ID: umbey   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 3 (3/22/2000)
Not as good as the LIbertybelle @ WDW... but still a nice addition to the park

Though not one of the most spectacular attractions, it's impossible to imagine a Magic Kingdom park without this big beautiful steamboat. If it's an option try this ride after dark.

Another Disneyland Classic, the Mark Twain was one of Walt's favorite attractions in the Park. During a pre-opening perty at Disneyland, Walt ushered a large group of VIPs onto the Twain for a trip around the River. As the guests rushed from one side of the Twain to the other to see what the captain was pointing out, the boat tipped out of the water more than a foot! Guest capacity was rapidly figured out after that!
