Got lost having so much fun!

it's very boring you need to refurbish it. it needs a ride through instead of a walk through

User ID: Disneylover06   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 4 (7/15/2004)
I love looking at all the fish and kids really enjoy the new finding nemo exhibit.

User ID: JackSparrow   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 4 (5/27/2004)
I definately enjoy this every time I visit.

Went back and was looking foward to seeing the Nemo exhibit. Not bad, but not great either. This one does certainly need some new theming or revamping. It's getting kinda' old.

I used the Living Seas as a background piece for a video I did on ecolocation and the use of sonar with sea mammals. A major disappointment in the exhibit is that the ride vehicles were removed; you once were able to hop on to a slow moving ride system to see the entire exhibit. Nowadays, you only get to walk around and see everything. It's still fun, but I miss the ride.

Loooved the manitees. Got great footage, not that they do much, and then had nightmares that night that I fed them too much lettuce, and they threw me out.

Very cool as long as you don't try to compare it to Sea World. Lots to see and you really feel like you are transported down to Sea Base Alpha!

Don't miss this. Take time and enjoy this. Well worth it

great relaxing ride. I agree that Maybe Animal Kingdom should take this ride....and add something new to Epcot in its place. You never know!

User ID: DDMAN26   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 3 (10/22/2002)
Not the greatest, but ocean life always fascinates me.

User ID: tagboy   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 1 (4/13/2002)
Without a doubt the worst attraction at Epcot. It was a tremendous letdown. They need to give it a complete overhaul or out it goes. The only thing I really don't like in the entire park. (Can you tell I didn't like it?)

User ID: mercurywaxing   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 2 (3/28/2002)
Shame. It used to be my favorite paviliion but it seems neglected now and is falling into disrepair.

User ID: shawnp0001   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 2 (3/19/2002)
Somewhat of a disappointment. This type of thing should be moved to Animal Kingdom.

User ID: NRGPromptAccept   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 4 (2/26/2002)
And it rained.......and rained......and rained. The deluge. And the seas were born. Don't skip the movie!! Hope Alexander Willis is great for this entertaining film. What the hey, where are the seacabs?! The new wall looks great, but it isn't fun to ride on, I tried...it just sat there. :-(

User ID: 1313WEBFOOTWLK   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 2 (2/21/2002)
A very nice aquarium and water-based ride but the films are a snooze. Not necessary to your EPCOT adventure.

User ID: thenate   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 3 (2/20/2002)
This ride used to be a "4" without a doubt, the removal of the peoplemover however has lowered the entertainment value considerably.

User ID: ninafeliz1   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 2 (3/11/2001)
I've never been crazy about aquariums, and there are many more things I want to spend my time seeing at Epcot. I found the ride to be ridiculously short, by the time you got comfy in the seat it was time to get off. But at least the pavilion was well done and fitting for Disney.

User ID: ric   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 3 (1/7/2001)
I like watching the fish

User ID: anasazi   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 3 (12/6/2000)
The film and the aquarium are wonderful. Ditch the ride and the hydrolator.

User ID: Epcotgirl   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 3 (10/24/2000)
I am sooo glad you can skip the movie now! I worked the Seas on occasion a few years back and that was the biggest complaint!

User ID: smsimmons   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 3 (10/9/2000)
glad that you can bypass the movie...some parts need to be updated....Yes, the "ride" could be eliminated for faster access

User ID: Johnboy   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 1 (10/7/2000)
Why did they even bother to put in the omni-mover ride? It sets riders up for a ride, but it's over in about 20 seconds. Expand this section and ditch some of the viewing areas. There wasn't much to see.

User ID: bwanabob   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 2 (10/6/2000)
Needs a rehab...outdated. I like the aquarium and film, but not the exhibits at the end.

User ID: Futurist   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 3 (10/6/2000)
Not the most exciting of all the Futureworld pavilions....but definitely EDUCATIONAL. The first time I went, I didn't want to leave until I went through every exhibet. The main hall is impressive....liked the "elevator" trip down to give it some spice...but the omnimover portion was too short. Overall....an enjoyable experience that can keep your attention for a few good hours.

User ID: irishfan   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 4 (8/27/2000)
An enjoyable attraction, a nice way to pass an hour when the Florida sun is beating down outside.

User ID: Bishdom   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 2 (7/5/2000)
The aquarium ride was suprisingly short. Lots to learn here though if you are willing to play with all of the exibits.

User ID: MouseEars   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 2 (6/8/2000)
Im anxious to see what they are going to do with this now that United Technologies has bowed out. Will this see the same fate as Horizons? Well, if it must, it must!

User ID: ToonKirby   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 2 (6/8/2000)
Love the aquarium, hate the film.

User ID: KH1_2001   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 2 (6/8/2000)
It's Like a normal aquamarium but a ride though it. But it's still okay.

User ID: rollerstan   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 3 (6/8/2000)
Good ride, when I went down there a month or so ago, they took the movie portion out! Needs a re hab probably soon. Hydrolator seems like its really moving!

User ID: Tink1894   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 2 (6/8/2000)
The concept behind the attraction is a good one but it definitely needs a little more work. When I saw it most of the sea life was not even out including the dolphins, which was a big disappointment.

User ID: Fortune Red   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 2 (6/8/2000)
Never interested me much -- it made me feel like I was on a school field trip -- and now it's dated. Not all that bad though.

User ID: purplern   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 3 (6/8/2000)
I love this ride

User ID: teamdisney   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 4 (6/8/2000)
I love this atrraction, The only thing is I wish you could bypas the movie and go straight to the fish. I love watching the Dolphins. And the Sharks are so cool.

User ID: WayneG   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 2 (6/8/2000)
Just went for first time in a few years. Building and aquarium seemed rather empty. Will probably wait another few years, unless there's a re-do.

User ID: seahawk   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 4 (6/8/2000)
I have no idea about this place except for that I have seen it on an episode of Full House when they went to Disney World and Danny Tanner (father played by Bob Saget) was dinning with a girlfriend. I would like to read more about it! It looks cool!

User ID: Sapphire   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 2 (5/21/2000)
The aquarium is quite impressive, but unless you're really into the subject, there's not much of interest after the ride. This could use a good updating. Kudos to Disney, however, for allowing repeat visitors and other uninterested riders to bypass the preshow film.

User ID: cfritz001   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 4 (5/11/2000)
wonderful - wanted to spend more time there

User ID: Johnboy   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 2 (4/18/2000)
The "ride" portion of the exhibit was extremely short. I would have enjoyed a slow leisurely ride through the aquariums. When I was there (Jan '99) there seemed to be a lot of empty tanks. It wasn't exactly teeming with sea-life. How about a soundtrack for the omni-mover section of the attraction. "Under the Sea" perhaps...

User ID: RPK4444   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 3 (4/5/2000)
Very good attraction but, how con they compeat with their neighbor Sea World.

User ID: Galapagos Jim   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 2 (3/31/2000)
Not to knock the scientific benefits of this attraction, but if they're going to do a redo, they could add some theming from a movie, like the upcoming Atlantis flick. That should add to the crowds, which in turn shows WDW management that the attraction is still popular so they'll be more willing to sink more money into it and make it a better attraction.

BTW, for another great aquarium (besides Monterey), visit the Oregon Coast Aquarium in Newport, Oregon. Awesome place. That's where Keiko the whale (from Free Willy) was kept until they moved him to the wild in Iceland.

User ID: magic19   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 2 (3/31/2000)
Needs a major update. The opening film is compelling until you get to the sea base rendering--my Atari 2600 has better graphics than that. This is an ideal attraction for cast members to be on hand to answer questions and explain marine habitats, but they are sadly missing. Just a little TLC and this attraction could easily be great again.

User ID: judilane   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: Unrated (3/31/2000)
This used to be one of my favorite exhibits in Epcot. Another sad victim of neglect! Such an exciting time in the marine sciences, but you'd never know it from this rather empty pavilion. If it weren't for the way cool Harper Goff Nautilus model (and the manatees), I wouldn't bother visiting.

User ID: ChipDale   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 4 (3/31/2000)
The theming in this attraction is excellent, especially the "wave" queue. Very informative, but probably could stand a rehab.

User ID: RPK4444   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 3 (3/31/2000)
Very good attraction when it first opened. It needs to be up dated. Still a very informative attraction. Well worth seeing.

User ID: delimouse   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 3 (3/31/2000)
This is a great attraction but needs to be updated. So much is being learned about the seas and it doesn't seem to keep up

User ID: LaffnStock   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 4 (3/12/2000)
Nice "entrance" into the exhibit. But there seemed to be less to learn on my second visit.

User ID: Jeremiah   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 2 (2/5/2000)
Out of date if you have seen it once you really don't have to go back.

User ID: srolandelli   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 2 (1/20/2000)
If you want to see fish, consider Monterey Bay Aqu.

User ID: damon63   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 4 (1/17/2000)
Spectacular! The only down thing here is the short (very short), anti-climatic trip to Sea Base Alpha via the omnimover.

User ID: TPA_RickWest   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 3 (1/6/2000)
A bit on the sleepy side, the detail and idea behind this pavilion is still very cool. Plus, I am a sucker for large aquariums and manatees! Could stand to be updated with some new elements.
