User ID: rsumrall Thrill: 3 Theme: 4 Overall: 4 (2/20/2008)This is an amazing show! The effects are great. I've seen it many times and never tire. I would strongly suggest that you get a Fantasmic Dinner package if you are going at a busier time of year. The wait can be horrific.

nothing compares to this show! I do, however, think the Fantasmic! in Disneyland is better! But everything about this show is magical...
User ID: TINKERB Thrill: 3 Theme: 4 Overall: 4 (2/4/2008)
excellent show

This is by far the best show at WDW. Spetacular I believe is the right word.
User ID: fiferpig Thrill: 1 Theme: 2 Overall: 1 (8/19/2007)
Disneyland version is so much better. The only thing that makes Florida's minimally better is the seating. But I am very willing to sit on hard concrete to watch Disneyland's version.
User ID: chrisgeraci Thrill: Unrated Theme: Unrated Overall: Unrated (8/17/2007)
Overall this is one of the greatest shows Disney has done. However, compared to Disneyland's Fantasmic, this one pales a little. The Pirate Ship scene in Dl Fantasmic is superior to the Pocahontas scene in WDW. Whenever you put Disney characters and fireworks together you have a winner!
User ID: WDWFreak1996 Thrill: 3 Theme: 4 Overall: 4 (6/1/2007)
Worth the price of admission !
User ID: codyqubei Thrill: Unrated Theme: Unrated Overall: Unrated (9/9/2006)
For those who say this show is terrible and that is just a rip off of the DL show are way outta line. Disney has always and always will share attractions with it's parks around the world. I have only seen the DL show on YouTube and I admit it is amazing, but I like the Lion King segment more than the Jungle book. But I must say that the Peter Pan part is great at DL. Fantasmic at MGM is my all time favorite show and I can't wait to see it again in a week or two.
User ID: madassdriva Thrill: Unrated Theme: Unrated Overall: 4 (11/27/2005)
This show is incredible. Too relient on mist-projection screens, I must agree, yes, but incredible. I think all should see it, cuz I gurantee it, you will wana see it every time you go to Disney-MGM Studios afterwards. Or in other words, Fantasmic! is FANTASTIC!
User ID: MrToadWildRider Thrill: Unrated Theme: Unrated Overall: 2 (9/22/2005)
I rated this show a 2. I admit maybe it's just because I'm not a show person but the "Stage" (? sorta?) is so far from the stands that it's a bit harder to enjoy and I just think there are many parts of the show that rely wayyy too heavily on the water projection screens they use. It's a cool effect but 1/2 the show is basically just highlights of Disney animated features.
It's a good show and I probably would've rated a 3 if not for my disappointment after all the hype this show receives. It is a pretty darn GOOD show but it's not near as good as people make it out to be in my opinion.
User ID: Le_Poof Thrill: Unrated Theme: Unrated Overall: 4 (8/30/2005)
Easily the best show at Walt Disney World, doesn't matter where you sit either so you don't have to be too early. I was in awe from start to finish.

Come and enjoy the magic as Disney characters - old and new, come to life right in front of your eyes! Enjoy the lights and the music, enjoy the show, enjoy the masterpiece known as Fantasmic.
User ID: Strway2Heaven77 Thrill: Unrated Theme: Unrated Overall: 4 (7/3/2004)
I went to Disneyworld with my marching band, and I say Fantasmic for the first time, and it was by far the most amazing thing in Disneyworld. It is a show for all ages. As a stage/tech manager for my school, I payed close attention to the lights. The special effects were the most advanced I have ever seen. They change the show during the performance if any mechanism fails. They have even done shows without the dragon, and it is all seamless! Each show costs $20,000 to produce, so can't you go and spend 26 minutes? Truly an eye opener to the power that Disney has on you're imgaination. "Some imagination, huh? Ha ha!"

User ID: laplizard Thrill: Unrated Theme: Unrated Overall: Unrated (11/4/2003)
I have seen both versions of the show at Disneyland as well as WDW. I feel the show at Disneyland is far more spectacular for me. I just like the idea of watching a show on a stage where I was just at, that day. I mean there is just some kind of magic to see the playground you were on come to life like that. That is true disney magic to make the very things around you come to life, when you can say "i was just there and that dragon wasnt there. I didnt see that cauldron". WDW you walk in to a theater. A stage you werent able to explore. So for me there is no magic. Its all trap doors and secret tunnels, not magic. Dont get me wrong I love both shows but I feel DL's is better by a long shot. I feel they are both great shows but DL's holds more magic for me then that of WDW. PS they could of used a better Steamboat then that.
User ID: chrisandginny Thrill: Unrated Theme: Unrated Overall: 3 (10/17/2003)
Very well done. However, the wait is difficult to take at the end of the day when everyone is tired. If you have not seen this before, it is a must see.

Worst Disney experience ever? wow you're a fanboy
User ID: BRENDON Thrill: Unrated Theme: Unrated Overall: Unrated (8/29/2003)
Hated it. This version is just a cheap counterpart of disneyland's original fantasmic. The pochahontas scene was way out of place and was excluding disneyland's larger scaled peter pan scene. the ending was the WORST part of all. Instead of the more detailed mark twain like at (the greatest theme park) disneyland's version, all the characters were waving their scarves on a scrap piece of metal. That thing was probably found in a junk yard and was used due to the greedy people who created this cheap, immitated show. WORST DISNEY EXPERIENCE EVER!!!
User ID: PeterAlt Thrill: Unrated Theme: Unrated Overall: 4 (7/27/2003)
This is Disney's first E-ticket 'show'. Disney really outdid themselves. This show is nothing less than spectacular! Some advice: get there an hour early! I got there an hour and a half early and the place was already half-filled!
User ID: starwood Thrill: Unrated Theme: Unrated Overall: 4 (7/21/2003)

User ID: CTXRover Thrill: Unrated Theme: Unrated Overall: 4 (7/18/2003)
Having seen both Disneyland's and Disney-MGM studios versions, I am surprised to hear so many folks that think DL is better. Perhaps it is the fact that I've seen WDW's a lot before ever seeing DL's but I felt WDW was far superior to DL's. Although I don't care for the Pocahantas scene, I didn't feel Peter Pan's scene was that much better at DL. It was basically the same thing with people falling and fighting, etc. In my opinion, WDW's finale blows DLs out of the water and the entire cast of villians coming together to "invade" Mickey's dream is better than just Ursula, Chernabog, Maleficient and the Snow White witch. In my opinion, Fantasmic! is one of the best shows ever created by Disney!

User ID: Horace Horsecollar Thrill: Unrated Theme: Unrated Overall: 3 (9/12/2002)
A pretty good to spectacular show, worth seeing. But what the heck is Pocahontas doing there? Mickey is imagining the colonization of 17th-century America? And what the heck is Brer Bear doing on the "Steamboat Willy" barge? He's actually a villain, if Splash Mountain is to be believed.
User ID: coleynoonle Thrill: Unrated Theme: Unrated Overall: 4 (8/15/2002)
First of all: Not as good as Disneyland's Fantasmic. I saw this show with huge expectations, and I was mildly disappointed. Still, it is worth seeing, and it does have some of the magic that Disneyland's Fantasmic has. I especially like the convenient seating area and the special stage for the show.

User ID: TrapaJon14 Thrill: Unrated Theme: Unrated Overall: 4 (6/30/2002)
Disney Worlds version is much bettter than Disneyland, Why? WDW has a huge mountain DL has a house, WDW has a big boat full of characters DL has 5 or 6 charaters in front of the house, WDW at the end Mickey appears on top of the mountain DL hes ontop of the house so is the dragon. Like I said WDW is the best

AWESOME!!!!
I helped design all of the water elements in the WDW Fantasmic Show. I was truely moved by the cheering crowds. It makes my job easier when a little Disney Magic is added to the water. Both WDW and DL Fantasmics are create shows on their own and each are 50% the same and 50% different.

I personally saw it and loved it. I've seen both and there's a lot I like about WDW a lot more, except one little thing, Pochohontis, she is WAY out of place. Put Pan in there and it'd be better. I think what people don't understand about the boat at the end is it's supposed to look like steam boat willie, not a duplicate boat which people ride on all day.

Somewhat disappointing. Perhaps I'd heard how wonderful it was too often, so I was expecting too much. The line is horrible - I would NEVER see this show again without doing the dinner package.

Simply the best Disney attraction ever! The sight of the Steamboat Willie ship coming around the bend always brings a tear or two to my eyes. And the music can't be beat.

A very elaborate show in an absolutely HUGE amphitheater, it was amazing to see the crowd hiking back to the theater. User ID: u k fan Thrill: Unrated Theme: Unrated Overall: 3 (1/15/2001)
I really enjoy this show and prefer it to IllumiNations. I haven't been to DL but agree that the Pocahontas scene really clunks compared to the rest of the show!
User ID: Phillip Thrill: Unrated Theme: Unrated Overall: 1 (1/15/2001)
This is a poor substitute for the Disneyland version. The set is dreary, and too much emphasis on the water screens (which are overdone here) and Pocahontas (too long and too dull) rather than the spectacular Peter Pan and Jungle Book scenes at Disneyland. See this one, but see the original in Anaheim if you can for a real thrill.
User ID: tkrajah Thrill: Unrated Theme: Unrated Overall: 4 (1/9/2001)

How can you not enjoy this show! While it's not quite as good as the D'land original, it does have some extra water screen animation that I really enjoy (heroes in bubbles and the morphing villains). Like D'land's show, the closer to the waters edge the better.
User ID: OrangeBird Thrill: Unrated Theme: Unrated Overall: 4 (10/5/2000)

Althought I prefer Disneyland's version, this is still an amazing show. Disney's creative geniuses truly shined in the development of this project. It still mesmerizes me after seeing the show countless time!
User ID: SirLamer Thrill: Unrated Theme: Unrated Overall: 3 (8/11/2000)
It's worth seeing if you're in Disney World, but Disneyland's Fantasmic is much. The atmosphere is much better in Disneyland, and in WDW you spend six or seven minutes watching Pocahatas (if that's how you spell it) conoeing around and junk - INSTEAD OF THE BATTLE ON THE PIRATE SHIP!
User ID: dmginsburg Thrill: Unrated Theme: Unrated Overall: 2 (8/11/2000)
The show after all these years, still run chills up & down our spines. Mesmerizing. Although, there is no comparison between the WDW and DL shows. WDW needs more work and has skimped on their props. WDW gets a 2-from this family. DL gets a 4+. We still highly recommend the show at both locations.
User ID: wedway Thrill: Unrated Theme: Unrated Overall: 3 (8/11/2000)

A good show. Certainly not great like the Disneyland version. The water screens are neat but implemented too much in Florida and I missed the Mark Twain. The stadium seating, however nice, takes away from the atmosphere.

User ID: TP2000 Thrill: Unrated Theme: Unrated Overall: 1 (6/7/2000)
An unfortunately sad rendition of the grand Disneyland spectacle. The stadium style seats were a nice bonus, but the show loses a whole lot in the translation to the new Florida venue. The newer animation sequences were cool, but the rest of the show pales miserably in comparison. The finale' was the ultimate low-point with a "Mark Twain" made out of plywood and PVC pipe, like it had been built after a quick trip to Home Depot. The Florida audience cheered loudly though, so what you don't know can't hurt you. Disneyland regulars will be extremely underwhelmed.

This show was good, however at time it was a bit confusing. Disneyland show is a lot better. The atmosphere and the show are just better over there.

an awesome experience!!!

The ultimate Disney night-time spectacular! The music is wonderful and I love hearing the cheers when Mickey enters and then when he defeats the dragon. The Pocahontas section does seem out of place, should update it to a Tarzan adventure sequence.

It needs more Villians.
The Horn King would be nice.

I still need to see DL's version but WDW's show was worth the wait and the rain storm before the show.
User ID: WayneG Thrill: Unrated Theme: Unrated Overall: 2 (6/7/2000)
Was actually a tad disappointed, especially comparing it to DL's version. Way too much water screens and animation, not enough live action.

a _HUGE_ concrete seating area, a moat, a plastic mountain, and horrible looking rafts. DisneyWorld's Fantasmic pales in comparison to Disneyland's (which fits in much better).

Unbelievable!!!!!!
Can be very wet when the wind hiots the water just right but it is an amazing show.

Although the Pocahontas sequence is completely out of place - I never saw the Disneyland version but I know the Peter Pan segment just had to be better - this is the best outdoor show at the parks.

Probably the best Disney night time show. More worth while than Illuminations. Well, worth the wait. If planning a trip, eat at one of the resturants that give you priority seating for eatting there.

Worth every penny of the entrance fee.
[Ed Note: The reader is referring to the Disney-MGM entrance fee. There is no separate admission for Fantasmic!]

Disneyland's is by far my favorite.
User ID: BurgerBurger Thrill: Unrated Theme: Unrated Overall: 3 (3/30/2000)
I would give it a 4, but when comparing to Disneyland's Fantasmic!, I think it could use a couple changes. More like, make it the same as Disneyland's. :) I would much rather have Peter Pan, than Pocah, and at least make the steamboat at the end more "authentic" rather than a styrofoam cut out. I still loved it with all the music though!

A must see for any trip...(Get there early)...if you haven't seen it, don't listen to everyone's nitpicking around here, just go and enjoy! BTW, almost forgot -- look at the people in the picture titled 'the seating area' below. Note that most of them are wearing raingear ;) (bring yours!)
[Ed Note: Though the people in the first few rows are likely to get a little wet from the water screens, in this case it was raining off and on and that's why they're wearing rain gear.]

Although this is the best show ever created, the Disneyland version is a bit more spectacular that the WDW one. Anyway, either show still raised the hairs on my neck, everytime I see it, about 30 so far.

It was okay... But it left little to be desired... I must be spoiled by DL's version... I just don't find WDW's that good... Too many water screens, too much trying to squeeze in characters during the water screens, and Pocahontas was nice but it seemed like something was missing... But People do like it and I guess that is what really counts...

A terrific show, that's not to be missed.

Even though the stadium seating is more comfortable on the tush than the walkway around DL's Rivers of America, this Fantasmic doesn't deliver the same emotional impact. The video segment is too long, and the pause between the dragon's fire and Mickey slaying her really kills the dramatic timing and tension. I don't know why these elements were changed from the original show, but they're not an improvement. Disneyland's version is worth the wait. I'd rather go to Epcot at night than wait two hours for this cheap imitation.

Fantasmic IS the most fantastic Disney show yet. From the moment it starts, until its conclusion, this is pure awesome magic.
User ID: LaffnStock Thrill: Unrated Theme: Unrated Overall: 4 (3/12/2000)
Great. But having to get there so early (at least an hour beforehand) is NOT. Plus, once there you are captive. This needs more than the half hour pre-show that they gave when I last attended.
User ID: dairyvalley Thrill: Unrated Theme: Unrated Overall: 3 (3/11/2000)
While nicely updated from the Disneyland original, much of the charm has been lost by transforming it into a stadium show. One of the great things about the Disneyland version is experiencing it in an area which during the daytime is filled with canoes and a steamboat.
User ID: Jeremiah Thrill: Unrated Theme: Unrated Overall: 3 (2/5/2000)
Very good show just not as good as the one at Disneyland!
User ID: srolandelli Thrill: Unrated Theme: Unrated Overall: 4 (1/20/2000)
Very good, but NOT (IMHO) as good as the original in Anaheim. Plus, "Priority" seats for dinner buyers were disappoitning.
User ID: NancyDVC Thrill: Unrated Theme: Unrated Overall: 4 (1/7/2000)
The preshow is great the show is great and for a nighttime show it is a blessing to have seats!
User ID: DCAGuy2 Thrill: Unrated Theme: Unrated Overall: 3 (1/6/2000)
Although the show is good, the Disneyland version beats it by far. Something about the stadium seating takes away from it for me.
