Animal Kingdom: Discovery Island

The Tree of Life
The icon for Disney’s Animal Kingdom is the Tree of Life, and it is located within Discovery Island (formerly called Safari Village), the center of the park. Here, guests are treated to a wonderful array of merchandise shops and some really fun food locations. The setting is lush, like the rest of Animal Kingdom and the emotional attachment to the Tree is felt throughout the area. It’s winding, curled roots create the queue for a magical 3-D experience hidden deep within the earth. If man could re-create the Garden of Eden, Safari Village and the Tree of Life would be the blueprint.
