Disneyland's 45th Anniversary - Character of the Month
Artist Peter Emmerich has been commission to create twelve Character of the Month portraits featuring Disney characters in their favorite Disneyland descriptions. Here's a description of the character of the month program from the original flyer sent by Disneyland:
To celebrate "45 Years of Magic" some of your favorite Disney Characters were asked to pose for their official portraits. The Characters themselves chose locations around the Park that are special to them. Enjoy collecting all twelve portraits as well as the fun of discovering each Character's favorite place at "The Happiest Place on Earth."
Beginning January 8, 2000, a new lithograph will be released from Artist Peter Emmerich. The Character of the Month Program will begin with the one and only Mickey Mouse. Beginning in February, the Character of the Month lithographs will be released on the first Saturday of each month, please watch for further details on special release dates for the series. Those who purchase all twelve lithographs will receive a special commemorative thirteenth lithograph free.
In addition, a "45 Years of Magic" Character of the Month Collectors Coin will be available as a free gift with the purchase of $50 or more in the Disneyana Shop, Main Street, U.S.A. or The Disney Gallery, New Orleans Square. Each month a different Collectors Coin will be released to coincide with the Character of the Month Program.
Each lithograph will debut on the first Saturday of the
month with a signing by the artist at the Disneyana shop.
Final Event: December 2, 2000, the Character of the
Month program will celebrate Tinker Bell rendered by Character Artist
Peter Emmerlich.

In addition to the lithograph and the coin (which can also be purchased separately), other merchandise with the portraits will be available including a T-Shirt and a watch. Those purchasing the entire 12-set edition will receive a special thirteenth lithograph.
Prices for the lithograph are: $95 (unframed) or $245 (framed). The edition is limited to 200.
