Events will be occuring throughout Walt Disney World on the 5th to officially
dedicate 100 Years of Magic. It's not clear which of these events are open to the public
and which are media only, but if you're in the parks, keep your eyes open.

On October 1st a ceremony was held at the Magic Kingdom to kick-off 100 Years of Magic.

The celebration is centered on Disney-MGM Studios with a new icon at the end of
Hollywood Blvd, the 100 Years of Magic Sorcerer Mickey hat.
One Man's Dream
One Man's Dream
At Disney-MGM Studios, One Man's Dream has opened featuring exhibits and models
(some of which have never been seen in public before) and culminating in a movie film
tribute to Walt Disney. Some of the exhibits include: Main Street, U.S.A. model for
Disneyland, Walt's animation camera stand, the table on which he animated "Steamboat
Willie" and "Plane Crazy", Oscars for "Snow White and the Seven
Dwarfs" and "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea" films, Animated bird from the
1800s that inspired The Enchanted Tiki Room, Disneyland Castle model, An interactive
re-creation of Project X (Walt Disney World Resort) Florida conference room, A life-sized
Roy Disney graphic with interactive audio as Roy dedicates Walt Disney World Resort in his
brother's name, Abraham Lincoln sculpture bust, Disneyland Paris Sleeping Beauty Castle
model, Disney's California Adventure model

Share a Dream Come True Parade
At the Magic Kingdom is the new Share a Dream Come True Parade featuring six snow
globe floats, tons of Disney characters and an opening narration by Julie Andrews.

Tapestry of Dreams
At Epcot the Millennium Tapestry of Nations parade has been changed to Tapestry
of Dreams featuring giant puppets, Dream Seekers and Walt-inspired narration.

Disney Stars and Motor Cars
At Disney-MGM Studios is the new Disney Stars and Motor Cars parade featuring 15
themed cars, 63 performers and music representing Disney films from Snow White to
Aladdin plus the original song Spotlight on a Dream and a compliation of
other tunes including When You Wish Upon a Star, the Star Wars Imperial March,
Steps in Time and Welcome to the Big Blue House.

Mickey's Jammin' Jungle Parade
Mickey's Jammin' Jungle Parade
At Animal Kingdom is the new Mickey's Jammin' Jungle Parade featuring a very
lively processional through Harambe and around Discovery Island with Mickey, Minnie,
Donald, Goofy, Rafiki and some unique animal floats.

Some other things to look for
- Interactive Pins: The Resort is selling pins that light up in patterns inside certain attractions and when the parades pass by.
- Interactive Kiosks: Throughout the Resort are interactive kiosks that teach you - and quiz you - on Walt Disney and the history of the Disney Company.
- Name Tags: All Walt Disney World Cast Members now where name tags that - in addition to their names - have the film, park or other product from Disney history that they consider their favorite.
