February is Black Heritage month and Walt Disney World hasn't forgotten. Disney's Black Hertitage Celebration will continue all month long.

Events

  • Bryan Collier, illustrator of These Hands, will be signing the book at the American Adventure at Epcot on February 19, 2000. The signing will take place from 12:30-2p and 3-4:30p.
  • Hope Lynn Price, author of These Hands, will be signing her book at the American Adventure at Epcot on February 20, 2000. The signing will take place from 12-2p and 3-4:p.

Completed Events

  • On February 11-12, discover the rich flavors and heritage of Black History Month at the Epcot Millennium Culinary Series. Friday and Saturday night Grand Tasting events offer you the opportunity to sample different wines and culinary creations prepared by renowned visiting and Walt Disney World chefs. Grand Tastings are hosted at Odyssey Pavilion and begin at 6:30pm. Price: $40 per person plus tax (gratuity included). Epcot admission is required. Call (407) WDW-DINE for more information or to make reservations.
  • Andrea Davis Pinkney and Brian Pinkney, authors of Duke Ellington, will be signing their book at the American Adventure at Epcot on February 12, 2000. The singings will take place from 12-2p and 3-4p.
  • Susan Payne and Anita Alexander, authors of Gingersnaps, will be signing their book at the American Adventure at Epcot on February 13, 2000. The signings will take place from 12:30-2p and 3-4:30p.
