LP Lotion: Disneyland Offers Annual Passholders a Fantasmic! Celebration

To commemorate the 20th anniversary of Fantasmic!, the Disneyland Resort is offering four special performances of the popular nighttime show. Playing at 11:30pm on Monday and Tuesday nights, the performances are offered to Annual Passholders. The first took place on Monday, May 14, with the others following on Tuesday, May 15 and Monday and Tuesday, May 21 and 22.
Part of the celebration includes special merchandise and menu items at selected Disneyland venues. Dated commemorative items included a tee shirt and fleece jacket. A new release of the Fantasmic! soundtrack was offered on compact disc.
The late night performances on the Rivers of America take place after the park has closed to regular guests. Annual Passholders reserve tickets, and receive wristbands at the central ticket booths. At the river there are new banners and lighted balloons to lend a festive atmosphere. Preceding each night’s performance is a specially produced mini-documentary, projected on to the water screens. A highlight of the feature is a credit roll, honoring the production team for Fantasmic!
There is also a “good night kiss” offered on Main Street USA. As guests depart in the wee hours of the morning, members of the cast (primarily the Princesses) wave a fond farewell from the platform of Main Street Station.
