LP Lotion: A Preview of Lights! Motors! Action!
Disney's latest attraction at Disney-MGM Studios is Lights! Motors! Action! Originally created for the Walt Disney Studios Paris the show officially opens on May 5th but is currently in previews. We've already noticed numerous minor changes in the three shows we've seen, so keep in mind lots can change between now and the official debut. Certain effects also don't work 100% of the time - again this is to be expected in previews.
Lights! Motors! Action! is set up as the filming of stunt sequences for a movie. Four sequences are performed using cars, motorcycles, explosions and lots of fire. Jet Skis were also a part of the original Paris show and may be added to this show in the future. In between the sequences the shots are set up, explained and reviewed. We also learn about the cars, the drivers and some "tricks of the trade". Herbie the Love Bug is even on hand to make a special appearance.
The theater for Lights! Motors! Action! is huge (I've heard it seats 5,000). But shows have been pretty packed and FastPass is available - even during previews. The pictures and video below are compiled from three separate shows viewed over the past week or so.
