Just as in the movie there are numerous homages to the Pixar team and its history. For example the book stacked here entitled "Smyrl, Smryl, Twist and Twirl" was in the film as a reference to Eliot Smyrl on the modeling team and "Red's Dream" is a 1987 animated short by John Lasseter.
