LP Lotion: New Year's Eve Crowds at Walt Disney World
Page 1 of 5
Rebekah got a craving for some Grand Floridian gingerbread and thought it would be fun to check out the crowds at Walt Disney World on New Year's Ev'e ... from the safety of the Monorail.
Signs along the roadway indicated the Magic Kingdom was closed. An earlier sign that usually has an arrow pointing to MK instead had the word "full"

The Grand Floridian parking was limited to guests only except for valet parking. So we went ahead and paid the valet fee and purchased some gingerbread to enjoy along our monorail ride to survey the crowds at the Magic Kingdom and Epcot. The Express Monorails were simply parked along their route. Hidden under the jacket is the monorail driver waiting for the line to re-open when the Magic Kingdom was open to more guests. This occurred as we were switching to the Epcot loop.

The Magic Kingdom entrance is deceptively empty. I can only imagine the sights of the Magic Kingdom on the other side of the station when they've decided to close the turnstiles.
