A rollicking family road movie brimming with inspired silliness, College Road Trip tells the story of a noholds- barred battle for independence between a loving but protective father and his teenage daughter. Disney Channel favorite Raven-Symoné (TV’s “That’s So Raven,” “Cheetah Girls”) stars as Melanie Porter, an overachieving high school student with her heart set on attending Washington D.C.’s Georgetown University. Martin Lawrence (Wild Hogs) turns in an uproarious comic performance as the overbearing dad who wants her to stay closer to their Chicago home—and will do whatever it takes to keep her there!

The film’s charismatic cast also includes Disney Channel star Brenda Song (“The Suite Life of Zack and Cody”) and Lucas Grabeel (High School Musical). Plus Donny Osmond, Kym E. Whitley and Albert, the most talented pet pig in Hollywood.

Plot Summary

When senior Melanie Porter (Raven-Symoné) plans a trip with her high school girlfriends to look at colleges, her police chief father (Martin Lawrence) is determined to keep her from straying too far from home. Hoping to convince her to attend a nearby school, he insists on accompanying her on the trip, but his hilariously over-the-top efforts to protect his little girl backfire in a multitude of sidesplitting ways. Add one small stowaway, an over-caffeinated pig and a busload of unexpected encounters and it all adds up to an unforgettably funny journey packed with enough high energy hijinks and humor to keep the entire family laughing.
