LOS ANGELES--Aug. 5, 1999--Haxan Films, known for its successful independent thriller, "The Blair Witch Project," is moving its production offices to Disney-MGM Studios near Orlando. The announcement was made by Bob Allen, vice president of Disney Production Services.

"We're looking forward to having this innovative, creative group of people on our lot," said Allen. "Disney-MGM Studios is a perfect location for them to work on their upcoming projects while at the same time giving them the accessibility of state-of-the-art equipment and production talent at their disposal."

Their critically acclaimed film, "The Blair Witch Project," is a harrowing firsthand account of three documentary filmmakers who venture into the Black Hills of Maryland in search of the truth about the local scaremonger, the mythic Blair Witch.

After the trio disappear without a trace, their footage is unearthed one year later, revealing a terrifying account of the events which marked their final days. The edited chronicle of the filmmakers' discoveries forms the chilling content of the film.

"We have many new projects in the works following the success of "The Blair Witch Project," said Cowie. "Disney-MGM Studios allows us a level of convenience not easily found elsewhere on the East Coast and we welcome the use of their facilities for our future productions."

"I had known many of the Haxan team since they were film students and am delighted to be working with them," added Allen.
