Announcing Four New Holiday-Themed Releases for 1999

The spirit of Christmas has descended upon the Walt Disney Classics Collection, which introduces four new releases for the holidays.

For the first time ever, the Walt Disney Classics Collection has created a limited edition ornament set from Walt Disney’s beloved animated film Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. The beautiful, specially boxed ornament set is limited to 5,000 worldwide, comes with a Certificate of Authenticity and will be available beginning in September. The set shows Snow White and all Seven Dwarfs merrily dancing and singing just like in the original film. Suggested retail price: $395 U.S.

As part of a special holiday promotion, the Walt Disney Classics Collection also introduces a brand-new series of dated ball ornaments. The series kicks off with a full-color porcelain ornament showing Mickey and Minnie ice skating hand-in-hand. A forty-dollar value, the ornament also features a gold-painted WDCC logo and date and will be available for $19.99 (U.S. SRP) with the purchase of any full-figure WDCC sculpture at participating retailers while supplies last.

Goofy spreads a little Christmas cheer as the fifth release in the annual WDCC Holiday Series. Available as both a sculpture and an ornament, “Tis the Season to Be Jolly” shows Goofy playing the bass while Christmas caroling. The piece complements all previous releases from this popular annual series, which includes Mickey, Pluto, Minnie, Chip and Dale -- all inspired by the classic animated short, Pluto’s Christmas Tree (US SRP: Goofy Sculpture $175, Goofy Ornament $50).

And finally, the Walt Disney Classics Collection introduces Donald Duck donning a pair of ice skates - just like his pals Mickey and Minnie. All three skaters have real metal blades on their skates and are currently available as part of the WDCC On Ice scene ( US SRP: $150).
