Disney Channel and Charter Communications Team Up to Bring ''Disney Channel's Playhouse Disney - LIVE!'' to Los Angeles-area Kids and Families

Free Live Stage Shows Take Place Next Week, May 25-28, At Glendale Galleria

Disney Channel and Charter Communications invite Los Angeles-area kids and families to a special live event starring some of their favorite characters from "Playhouse Disney," Disney Channel's programming block created especially for preschoolers and their caregivers, at the Glendale Galleria on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, May 25, 26, 27 and 28.

Featuring singing, dancing, storytelling and creative play, "Disney Channel's Playhouse Disney -- LIVE!" centers around the theme of "parties," bringing together some of "Playhouse Disney's" most popular stars in front of a giant inflatable Playhouse set. Hosted by the stars of "Out of the Box," Tony and Vivian, the live show will take audiences on a tour through the world of "Playhouse Disney." Each of the show's four segments will feature a performance by the characters from one of "Playhouse Disney's" original series.

Kids and families will be visited by otter siblings Peanut, Jelly and Baby Butter from "Disney's PB&J Otter;" sing and dance with Olie and Zowie from Emmy, Gemini and Parent's Choice Award-winning "Rolie Polie Olie;" and do the "Cha-Cha" with Bear from Emmy Award-winning "Bear in the Big Blue House" from Jim Henson Television. Three 15-minute live shows will be performed daily at 1 p.m., 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. Between performances, kids can take part in "Circle Time" storytelling sessions. "By partnering with our cable affiliates, we are able to bring Disney Channel's preschool series to life in a way that's exciting and tangible for little kids and their caregivers across the country."

As part of "Disney Channel's Playhouse Disney - LIVE!" event, Disney Channel and Charter Communications encourage Los Angeles-area residents to participate in "Rolie Polie Olie's BOOK ROUND-UP." New and used books will be collected at each show, then donated to Five Acres: The Boys & Girls Aid Society of Los Angeles.

Los Angeles is one of just 10 markets to be visited as part of "Disney Channel's Playhouse Disney -- LIVE!" national tour.

Glendale Galleria is located between Broadway and Colorado Streets, Central Avenue and Brand Boulevard in downtown Glendale.
