Rainforest Café opens at Tokyo Disney Resort

Rainforest Cafe, A Wild Place to Shop and Eat Celebrates International Grand Opening at Ikspiari in the Tokyo Disney Resort

Rainforest Cafe, A Wild Place to Shop and Eat (R), today celebrated the grand opening of its newest international location at the Ikspiari complex at the Tokyo Disney Resort in Japan. This opening marks the company's twelfth international location and its fourth icon unit in a Walt Disney Resort complex. Rainforest Cafes located at other Disney venues include Downtown Disney Marketplace, and Disney Animal Kingdom, Lake Buena Vista, FL; and Disneyland in Paris. Under construction is a Rainforest Cafe at the new Downtown Disneyland in Anaheim, CA, scheduled to open in early January.

Rainforest Cafe(R) in Tokyo is a 2-level, 17,217 square-foot, 350-seat restaurant and retail adventure.Rainforest Cafe is a stimulating experience for all senses: Recreating tropical rain forests through a combination of animation and special effects including thunder and lightning, rain showers, and animated wildlife. A 22-foot aquarium features an environmentally-friendly handmade coral reef exhibit and is home to more than 300 tropical saltwater fish. Visitors to the Retail Village will also find Tracy the Talking Tree, an animated exhibit that entertains and educates children of all ages with fun environmental facts. The restaurant includes a festive party room available for private parties, celebrations and events.

RC Japan Co., Ltd., franchised from Rainforest Cafe, Inc., owns and operates the Rainforest Cafe in Tokyo.
