Re-release of Disneyland 45th Anniversary Celebration Tour Map on Sept 15
Disneyland 45th Anniversary Map
Program A Sellout Success!
Re-Release To Be Made Available September 15
The special Disneyland 45th Anniversary Celebration Tour Map program, in which guests could purchase a reprint of a 50s vintage Disneyland map and tour the Park collecting stamps representing attractions no longer in the Park, has been a sellout success.
Originally conceived as a month-long program for July 2000, the 45th Anniversary of Disneyland Parks opening in 1955, the sales of maps were discontinued after all maps were completely sold out on July 17, the original Opening Day.
Loyal fans of Disneyland made this one of our most successful promotions ever, said Cynthia Harriss, President, The Disneyland Resort. Were sorry that some guests who still want to take the tour using the 45th Anniversary map wont be able to do it, but we want to make sure that everyone who wanted a 45th Anniversary map gets the opportunity to acquire one.
Although the map-stamping game has been discontinued, Disneyland plans to let disappointed guests purchase souvenir copies of re-released maps, along with the commemorative pins and buttons which were awarded to guests who completed the map tour. In addition, with every map purchase, Annual Passholder will receive the exclusive Annual Passholder pin with valid Annual Passport.
Maps will be available beginning September 15 only by fax or e-mail through Disney DelivEARS: (714) 781-4236 (fax) or dldelivears@disney.com.
