Disney Channel Teams With Stan Rogow and Terri Minsky to Find Out ``What's Lizzie Thinking?''

Disney Channel Teams With Stan Rogow and Terri Minsky to Find Out "What's Lizzie Thinking?"

"What's Lizzie Thinking?" Begins Production in Los Angeles September 1

Disney Channel, the leader in television for kids and families, will begin production on the highly anticipated new series "What's Lizzie Thinking?" starring newcomer Hillary Duff ("Soul Collector," "Casper Meets Wendy"), Jake Thomas (Spielberg's upcoming "A.I.," "The Cell") as her brother, Robert Carradine (Disney Channel's upcoming "Mom's Got a Date with a Vampire," "Revenge of the Nerds") as her dad, and Hallie Todd ("Sara," Disney Channel's upcoming "The Ultimate Christmas Present") as her mom.

The new comedy series couples live action and animation and begins shooting in Los Angeles on September 1. Disney Channel has green lit 20 episodes.

Disney Channel's new series, "What's Lizzie Thinking?" follows the adventures of Lizzie McGuire, a normal 13-year-old surviving adolescence and her animated alter ego. On the exterior, Lizzie is a young teenager navigating the turbulent years of junior high. That means coping with the ever-changing cliques at school, keeping up with what's in and what's out, as well as dealing with a well-meaning mom that is anxious to make her transition into womanhood as smooth as possible. Sassy, sarcastic and sensible, Lizzie's animated self is one part guardian angel and one part mischief-maker. Lizzie's conscience does things most of us only dream of which includes swooning over the cutest boy in school and blowing up (literally) when her mom decides she should miss the party of the year.

Stan Rogow Productions will produce the original series. Terri Minsky, executive producer of ABC's highly anticipated "The Geena Davis Show" (debuts this fall) created the series. Stan Rogow ("Shannon' Deal," "Clan of the Cave Bear") and Susan Jansen ("Home Improvement," "Boy Meets World") are executive producers.
