WALT DISNEY TRAVEL COMPANY INTRODUCES NEW 2001 PACKAGES FOR EXPANDED RESORT; INCLUDES NEW DISNEY’S CALIFORNIA ADVENTURE™ PARK

Featuring a whole new theme park filled with fun and adventures

ANAHEIM, CA – In celebration of the historic February 8, 2001 opening of the newest Disney theme park in Anaheim, California, the Walt Disney Travel Company has introduced new 2001 California Vacations packages to the expanded DISNEYLAND® Resort.  

The packages introduces several new features and benefits, including an exclusive DISNEYLAND Resort Ultimate Park Hopper Passport, which allows unlimited “hopping” between the resort’s theme parks.

Located next to DISNEYLAND® park in Southern California, the new DISNEY’S CALIFORNIA ADVENTURE™ park also features Disney’s Grand Californian HotelSM, the first hotel built entirely within a Disney theme park.  The beautiful Arts & Crafts-themed hotel has its own exclusive entryway into DISNEY’S CALIFORNIA ADVENTURE for hotel guests.  Another new addition to the expanded resort is the new DOWNTOWN DISNEY® District, filled with shopping, dining and entertainment experiences.

DISNEY’S CALIFORNIA ADVENTURE features three lands which celebrate the fun, adventures, glamour, diversity and natural beauty of California.  The lands include: the Golden State, Hollywood Pictures Backlot, and Paradise Pier.

Disney’s Vacation Magic packages, starting as low as $183 per person, include a minimum of 2-nights accommodations at a conveniently located DISNEYLAND Resort Good Neighbor Hotel and a 3-Day DISNEYLAND Resort Flex Passport for admission to either DISNEYLAND or DISNEY’S CALIFORNIA ADVENTURE each day (park hopping not permitted).  Guests also receive complimentary early entrance to DISNEYLAND on multiple days, a $10 ESPN Zone® Game Card redeemable at DOWNTOWN DISNEY, and one pre-issued Disney’s FASTPASS® ticket per person – a Walt Disney Travel Company exclusive.

Disney’s Resort Magic packages start at $349 per person, and in addition to a minimum 2-nights accommodations at either Disney’s Paradise PierSM Hotel, the Disneyland® Hotel, or Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel, clients can enjoy the total flexibility of the new – and exclusive – 3-Day DISNEYLAND Resort Ultimate Park Hopper Passport.  This special ticket allows clients to enter DISNEYLAND or DISNEY’S CALIFORNIA ADVENTURE each day, with the flexibility to visit both theme parks on the same day.  Also included in the Resort package is hotel parking and health club access, complimentary early entrance to DISNEYLAND on multiple days, a $10 ESPN Zone® Game Card redeemable at DOWNTOWN DISNEY, and one pre-issued Disney’s FASTPASS ticket per person.

Disney’s Grand Plan packages start at $537 per person.  This is the ultimate DISNEYLAND Resort vacation package and includes a minimum 2-nights accommodations at either Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel, the Disneyland Hotel, or Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel, a 3-Day DISNEYLANDResort Ultimate Park Hopper Passport, nightly turn-down service, parking and health club access, complimentary Early Admission to DISNEYLAND on multiple days, a $10 ESPN Zone® Game Card redeemable at DOWNTOWN DISNEY, one pre-issued Disney’s FASTPASS ticket per person / per day, a choice of dinner at select premium Resort restaurants, and preferred seating at “Animazement – The Musical,” a show presented at the DISNEYLAND Fantasyland Theatre.

All Walt Disney Travel Company Southern California packages also include a collectible pin and lanyard, a Walt Disney Travel Company Fun Book, and a choice of DISNEYLAND Magic Features:  Magic Morning Breakfast during Early Admission, Walk in Walt’s Footsteps tour, or Welcome to DISNEYLAND tour.  Disney’s Grand Plan packages receive two Magic Features.
