Hill Named VP, Human Resources & Employee Communications for Disney Consumer Products
Susan Cole Hill has been promoted to vice president, Human Resources and Employee Communications, at Disney Consumer Products, it was announced Monday, February 19, by Susan Garelli, senior vice president, Human Resources, Disney Consumer Products.
Hill will provide human resources strategy and support to the division's global Licensing businesses and to the division's Finance, Creative and Marketing and Information Technologies/Business Operations groups. She will also oversee the Employee Communications department.
"Susan has been an integral part of Disney Consumer Products' efforts to attract and hire the best talent available, making her keenly aware of the goals of the division and our human resources needs," Garelli said. "In her new and expanded role, Susan's unique perspective of the business, as well as her leadership experience and passionate approach to Human Resources, will continue to be extremely important to the organization."
Hill, who joined Consumer Products in 1995 as a consultant, was director of Global Staffing and Diversity. In that role she built and directed an internal search practice that annually hired 1,500 employees in North America and facilitated the hire of another 900 globally. While at Consumer Products, Hill has also served as director, Human Resources, Shared Services; director, Recruitment and Resources Planning; senior manager, Staffing; and manager, Staffing.
Prior to joining Consumer Products, Hill was a managing consultant at Brentwood International, where she established and directed a team approach to identifying and hiring senior level managers and executives for Fortune 500 firms, including General Motors, Motorola and Kodak. Hill has also served as a reporter, anchor and producer for WXII-TV NEWS, WMARTV and WBAL-TV.
Hill graduated from Towson State University with a bachelor's degree in English and mass communications.
