Disney's Electrical Parade Returns to California;
Guests May Now "Hop" Between Theme Parks

In celebration of this year’s return of Disney’s Electrical Parade to Anaheim, California, the Disneyland® Resort is enhancing all its three- and four-day tickets with a sparkling new feature: unlimited park hopping between Disneyland and the new Disney's California Adventure™ theme parks, effective May 5, 2001.

Disney’s Electrical Parade begins nightly performances inside Disney's California Adventure on July 4.

"This is great news for both Southern Californians and visitors from out of town," said Cynthia Harriss, president of the Disneyland Resort. "These new enhancements give our guests the maximum amount of flexibility to enjoy our entire resort, including nighttime performance of the popular Disney’s Electrical Parade."

Harriss explained that all previously issued 3- and 4-day tickets will be accepted at the Disneyland Resort’s park gates as "hopping tickets." This means that guests traveling with previously issued tickets and travel documents will be able to enjoy this desired "hopping" feature immediately, without the need to exchange tickets.

"We’re looking forward to an exciting summer season, with our evening entertainment spectaculars at Disneyland-Fantasmic! and the Believe fireworks show-and the premiere of Disney’s Electrical Parade at Disney's California Adventure," Harriss said.

Since its expansion, the Disneyland Resort now offers over 85 attractions, 21 shows, three major parades, 70 restaurants and 91 shops.

"It can easily take at least three days to see everything here, so our multi-day park hopping tickets are absolutely the best way to experience everything we have to offer," Harriss said.

Disneyland Resort Park Hopping tickets are priced: 3-Day - $111 regular/$87 child 3-9; 4-Day - $137 regular/$107 child 3-9. (Park Hopping tickets of greater length are also available.)

Disneyland Resort Park Hopping tickets are available at select Disney Stores and at the Disneyland Resort main ticket booths, as well as through the Walt Disney Travel Company, other tour wholesalers, AAA offices, and contracted Southern California hotels.

Throughout its former 24-year engagement at Disneyland, the Disney’s Electrical Parade became the most popular ever presented at the park. After its premiere in 1972, the parade grew and evolved over the years, with the 1996 edition showcasing more than 500,000 lights on 30 units and a cast of 100 performers. In addition to the glittering lights, also distinctive to the parade is its upbeat, electronically synthesized theme music, "Baroque Hoedown," around which favorite Disney tunes are interwoven.
