Disney Cruise Line Announces Alternating Seven-Night Caribbean Itinerary

Beginning May 11, 2002, the Disney Magic cruise ship will alternate each week between its new western Caribbean itinerary calling on Key West, Grand Cayman, Cozumel and Castaway Cay and its present eastern Caribbean route to St. Maarten, St. Thomas and Castaway Cay.
"It's all a matter of offering even more choices to our guests," said Matt Ouimet, Disney Cruise Line president. "Our seven-night cruise vacation has been a resounding success, proving to be a popular offering for first-time cruisers returning as loyal repeat guests."
The Disney Magic departs on its seven-night itineraries each Saturday from its year-round home port at Port Canaveral. The itineraries are as follows:
- Western Caribbean Itinerary (starting May, 2002)
- Saturday Depart from Port Canaveral
- Sunday Key West
- Monday At Sea
- Tuesday Grand Cayman
- Wednesday Cozumel
- Thursday At Sea
- Friday Castaway Cay
- Saturday Return to Port Canaveral
- Eastern Caribbean Itinerary (since August, 2000)
- Saturday Depart from Port Canaveral
- Sunday At Sea
- Monday At Sea
- Tuesday St. Maarten
- Wednesday St. Thomas/excursions to St. John
- Thursday At Sea
- Friday Castaway Cay
- Saturday Return to Port Canaveral
Disney's seven-night eastern and western Caribbean cruise vacations can be booked now, starting at $829. Ages 3-12 sailing as third or fourth guests in a stateroom begin at $399.
All seven-night cruise vacations aboard the Disney Magic feature magical entertainment, clever programming, unique dining experiences and different areas and activities designed for families to share and adults and children to escape to.
The magnificent Walt Disney Theater hosts high-energy
variety shows, original Disney stage spectaculars and even a very popular Disney-themed
trivia game show. Sea days are spent in Disney's very own port of entertainment, where
guests enjoy interactive presentations, demonstrations and conversations with experts
appearing in Disney's Navigator Series, Disney's Art of Entertaining and Disney
Behind-the-Scenes! In addition to Disney's innovative rotation dining concept, the Disney
Magic serves up a captain's gala dinner, two themed dinners, a midnight dessert buffet,
champagne brunch and high tea for adults and character breakfast and afternoon tea with
Peter Pan's pal Wendy for the kid in everyone.
