WHAT: Month-long festival of culinary samplings, wine and beer tastings and live entertainment. More than 20 international food and wine marketplaces around World Showcase Lagoon represent different regions of the world, with appetizer-sized portions from $1-$4.50. Grand Tastings, Winemaker Dinners, Reserve Dinners, and Food and Wine Pairings showcase international food and wine throughout the month.
WHATS NEW: Ireland, Scandinavia and Ecuador marketplaces; The Terrace, featuring free Lifestyles Experiences; Kids Marketplace; History of Beer in America presented by The Boston Beer Co., Brewer of Samuel Adams in American Adventure courtyard; From Vine to Wine guided tour by the Robert Mondavi Family of Wines with complimentary tastings.
KEY COMPONENTS:
- Complimentary 45-minute wine seminars and tastings in venues near France and the entrance to World Showcase. More than 70 wineries are conducting seminars this year.
- More than 20 international food and wine marketplaces around World Showcase, with wine and appetizer-sized portions from $1-$4.50, and Disney chef cooking demonstrations scheduled daily.
- For beer lovers, there will be more than 20 national and international beers featured around World Showcase and a specialty beer garden near American Adventure. New this year in the American Adventure courtyard is The History of Beer in America presented by Samuel Adams with free seminars and tastings.
- From Vine to Wine guided tour by the Robert Mondavi Family of Wines with complimentary tastings, located between Germany and the African Outpost.
- Lifestyles Experience on The Terrace with free, daily 15- to 30-minute demonstrations in open-air venue between Morocco and France, with Walt Disney World chefs and celebrity guests on topics about food, wine and entertaining. Also a wine shop, wine tasting bar and artisans.
- Grand Tastings -- Interactive, reception-style tasting event with 12 eminent chefs and 15 international wineries. 6:30-9 p.m. Saturdays, includes private viewing area for IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth; $65 per person (Epcot admission required).
- Winemaker Dinners -- Casual, five-course dinner with celebrity chefs and Walt Disney World chefs, with wines paired by vintners who discuss their selections throughout the meal. 6-9 p.m. Fridays and Sundays; $80 per person, includes private viewing area for IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth (Epcot admission required).
- Reserve Dinners -- An elegant, five-course menu with celebrity chefs and Walt Disney World chefs, with reserve wines chosen by vintners who discuss their selections during the meal. Limited to 36 guests. 5:30-9 p.m. Fridays and Sundays; $135 per person, includes private viewing area for IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth. Jackets requested for men.
- Food & Wine Pairings at Coral Reef Restaurant from 4-5 p.m. on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Four varietal wines with food, hosted by a wine expert. Limited to 20 guests. $25 per person (Epcot admission required).
- Kids Marketplace with a fun menu for youngsters.
