Edwards Giant Screen Theatres Grand Opening January 1, 2002 Featuring Disney's 'Beauty and the Beast'
Edwards Theatres Circuit, Inc. announces the opening of Edwards Giant Screen Theatres, its exciting new theatre concept, slated for January 1, 2002. Disney's much anticipated "Beauty and the Beast," reformatted for the Giant Screen, will be the showcase film for the launch of the theatres. The Giant Screen presentation of "Beauty and the Beast" will include new animated film sequences and an enhanced musical score including the song "Human Again." All of this, coupled with additional production enhancements, will make the re-release of this classic film a must-see event.
The theatres will feature vivid images projected on screens over 5 1/2 stories tall along with state-of-the-art digital sound. The Edwards chain will feature Giant Screen Theatres in Irvine, Ontario, and Valencia, California and Houston, Texas.
