Images of Disney's popular cast of characters and songs from its classic movies are now available on AT&T Wireless phones. This is the first time Disney-branded ring tones and graphics are available to U.S. wireless subscribers.

Disney ring tone and graphic content launched in Japan in August 2000 and has since garnered more than 2 million subscriptions. It is also now available throughout Asia and in Europe. Disney has been providing other wireless content from ABC, Disney, and ESPN in the U.S. for several years.

"After our international success with this type of content, it is great to see it come to the U.S.," said Larry Shapiro, executive vice president of business development and operations, Walt Disney Internet Group. "We expect to see the domestic market for wireless entertainment content take shape in 2002 as leaders like AT&T Wireless expand their offerings of wireless data services."

"AT&T Wireless and Disney are a perfect fit for bringing enhanced mobile multimedia capabilities to our collective customers," said Lisa Jo Wilson-Knight, vice president of marketing services, AT&T Wireless. "Disney songs and characters have always held a special place in people's hearts and minds, and now they can hold a special place in their wireless phones too."

The ring tones and graphics can be previewed and downloaded from www.attwireless.com/ringtones . Ring tones are available on Nokia 8260, 5165, and 3360 phones and graphics are available on the Nokia 8260. Once a customer makes a selection, the ring tone and/or graphic is sent to the phone through the text messaging service. Downloads usually range in price from 99 cents to $1.99 each and are billed to a credit card or a customer's wireless invoice.

Currently, the service includes ten (10) Disney ring tones and nine (9) Disney graphics of classic characters, such as Mickey Mouse and Snow White, and from more recent offerings such as "The Lion King" and "The Little Mermaid."
