ABC'S Enhanced TV Challenges You to "Beat the Millionaire" and Win a Chance to Drive Away in a New Car

This December, ABC's Enhanced TV (ETV) is giving viewers of "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" the opportunity to compete live against previous million-dollar winners for the chance to win the grand prize of a Hyundai Sonata.

To participate, log on to the ETV application, www.abc.com, on your computer at the start of the December 13, 20, and 27 broadcasts of "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" on the ABC Network. On these three special nights, ETV will host a different "Millionaire" in its control room who will play along in real-time (EST/CST) with the broadcast against all ETV participants.

The "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" million-dollar winners participating in this promotion are Bernie Cullen, Joe Trela, and John Carpenter. As ETV players compete against the featured "Millionaire," their score, along with that of the "Millionaire," will appear on the computer screen so that players can track their progress against the score to beat.

Each night, registered users who have scored higher than the "Millionaire" will be entered into a random drawing for a DVD player and five DVD's. By participating in the "Beat the Millionaire" competition, registered users will be entered into an additional grand prize random drawing for a Hyundai Sonata and a first prize drawing for a Mongoose Valiant bike.

The Enhanced TV version of "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" enables viewers to answer the same questions as the contestants on the TV program in real time on their computers. Viewers simply log on to www.abc.com while they are watching the show and click on the Enhanced TV logo to launch the application. ETV users can score bonus points by answering the questions quickly and accurately. Enhanced TV's "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" game attracts an average of 66,000 unique users per show. The average connect time per show is 36 minutes. Since its inception, the Enhanced TV for Millionaire has been played approximately 19 million times.
