Disney Interactive's 'Disney's Peter Pan Return to Never Land' for Game Boy Advance Soars Onto Store Shelves

New Game Based on Animated Feature, "Disney's Return to Never Land,'' First Game Boy Advance Title to Incorporate Disney Feature Film Scenes

Disney Interactive's "Peter Pan Return to Never Land,'' the company's first self-published title for Nintendo's Game Boy® Advance, soared onto store shelves nationwide February 12. For kids ages six to 10, the new game brings to life Walt Disney Pictures' animated feature film, "Return to Never Land,'' with non-stop adventurous aerial action.

"Disney's Peter Pan Return to Never Land'' is the first Game Boy Advance title to incorporate Disney feature film movie scenes, a result of innovative video compression technology used exclusively by Disney Interactive. During gameplay, players can unlock and watch up to four clips from the film, which releases in theaters nationwide on February 15.

In the exciting all-new animated motion picture, Wendy has grown up and has children of her own, whom she calms with tales of Peter Pan, the boy who refused to grow up. But Wendy's stubborn 12-year-old daughter, Jane, has no patience for such nonsense, until Captain Hook uses the girl as a pawn in capturing his arch rival. Peter, Tinker Bell and the Lost Boys come to Jane's aid; however, even they cannot make her believe in the magic of imagination. Unless she believes, she cannot fly -- and there is no other way for her to return home. Worse, without Jane's belief in fairies, Tinker Bell cannot survive. As Tink's light slowly begins to fade, Peter strives to find a way to rescue Jane from the dangerous clutches of Captain Hook and show her that with faith, trust and pixie dust, anything is possible.

"Disney's Peter Pan Return to Never Land'' for Game Boy Advance follows an action-packed linear storyline inspired by the film. Boys and girls play as Peter Pan and embark on an adventure through Never Land to rescue Tinker Bell, the Lost Boys, Jane and Danny, who have all been kidnapped by Captain Hook.

Players can utilize an array of unique flying movements to explore and search for clues that reveal the path to several locations where their companions may be: London, Never Land Forest, The Beach, Crocodile Creek, Mermaid Lagoon, Lost Boys Hideout, Hook's Pirate Ship and Skull Rock. Each area consists of numerous challenges and enemies who must be defeated by hand-to-hand combat, bum bash or throwing objects. As the story progresses, the tasks and opponents become increasingly difficult.

Multiple collectible items appear in each location, which help players earn additional game lives, gain information about Tinker Bell's whereabouts, unlock new maneuvers and open bonus sections. Available now for a suggested retail price of $39.99, "Disney's Peter Pan Return to Never Land'' for Game Boy Advance allows kids to take a piece of the motion picture with them wherever they go.
