ABC Daytime and the Disneyland Resort Announce "ABC Super Soap Weekends'' to Take Place in April At Disney's California Adventure Park
ABC Daytime and the Disneyland(R) Resort will present star-filled "ABC Super Soap Weekends" at Disney's California Adventure this spring, it was jointly announced today by Cynthia Harriss, president of the Disneyland Resort, and Regina DiMartino, senior vice president, marketing and promotion, ABC Daytime.
For three consecutive weekends in April, soap fans can enjoy exciting daylong celebrations devoted exclusively to their favorite ABC Daytime shows.
At a press announcement in the ABC Soap Opera Bistro, the park's popular soap-themed restaurant, ABC Daytime stars Linda Dano (Rae Cummings from "One Life to Live"), Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis Davis from "General Hospital"), Brian Presley (Jack Ramsey from "Port Charles") and Walt Willey (Jackson Montgomery from "All My Children") joined Harriss and DiMartino in making the announcement.
The premiere weekend, Saturday and Sunday, April 6 and 7, will be dedicated to "All My Children." Some of the talent featured will be: Julia Barr (Brooke English), Rebecca Budig (Greenlee Smythe), John Callahan (Edmund Grey), Amelia Heinle (Mia Saunders), Elizabeth Hendrickson (Maggie Stone), Finola Hughes (Anna Devane), Vincent Irizarry (David Hayward), Terri Ivens (Simone Torres), Jill Larson (Opal Cortlandt), Alicia Minshew (Kendall Hart), J. Eddie Peck (Jake Martin), Eden Riegel (Bianca Montgomery), Marcy Walker (Liza Chandler), Jack Scalia (Chris Stamp) and others.
"One Life to Live" will take place April 13 and 14. This weekend includes: Melissa Archer (Natalie Buchanan), Phil Carey (Asa Buchanan), Kamar de los Reyes (Antonio Vega), Catherine Hickland (Lindsay Rappaport), Laurence Lau (Sam Rappaport), Nathaniel Marston (Al Buchanan), Jessica Morris (Jennifer Rappaport), Nathan Purdee (Hank Gannon), Brandon Routh (Seth Anderson), Sheri Saum (Keri Reynolds), Hillary B. Smith (Nora Buchanan), Robert S. Woods (Bo Buchanan) and others.
From "General Hospital" on April 20 and 21, the stars will include: Chad Brannon (Zander Smith), Stuart Damon (Alan Quartermaine), Rebecca Herbst (Liz Webber), John Ingle (Edward Quartermaine), Wally Kurth (Ned Ashton), Sarah Laine (Sarah Webber), Jaime Ray Newman (Kristina Cassadine), Marisa Ramirez (Gia Campbell), Coltin Scott (Nikolas Cassadine), Billy Warlock (A J Quartermaine) Alicia Lee Willis (Courtney Matthews), Jacklyn Zeman (Bobbie Spencer) and others.
The names of the cast from "Port Charles" over this same weekend will be announced at a later date due to a confidential breaking storyline.
Each weekend, guests can meet their favorite stars throughout Disney's California Adventure while enjoying autograph sessions, game shows and celebrity interviews hosted by Dano, and a casting call full of exciting opportunities for lucky fans hosted by Willey. The elaborate celebrations will also offer one-of-a-kind memorabilia and surprise guest appearances at the ABC Soap Opera Bistro.
For guests who want to make these exclusive events a mini-vacation experience, "ABC Super Soap Weekends" packages are available. The package includes a one-night hotel stay, a Two-Day Passport for Disney's California Adventure, a special breakfast with the stars at ABC Soap Opera Bistro and an ABC Soap Opera commemorative gift.
