LPWire: Disneyland ® Resort Highlights "Rockin' The Bay" Music Series & "Kids Play Free" Packages
The Disneyland ® Resort is Rockin' This Summer with "Rockin' The Bay" Music Series & "Kids Play Free" Packages
Guests Enjoy the Biggest Entertainment Line-Up Ever
Sun-seekers who love the fun and nostalgia of California's seaside amusement piers will want to visit DISNEY'S CALIFORNIA ADVENTURE park in Anaheim over the next several weeks. The theme park's Paradise Pier area has just introduced a 42-day music series, "Rockin' the Bay," and the Walt Disney Travel Company is offering affordable vacation packages to the DISNEYLAND Resort, making it the place for fun, sun, music and magic this summer.

This summer brings the biggest line-up of live entertainment to date at DISNEY'S CALIFORNIA ADVENTURE theme park. The new live music series, "Disney's Rockin' the Bay" at the Golden State Park Stage on Paradise Bay in DISNEY'S CALIFORNIA ADVENTURE debuted July 13 & 14 with The Beach Boys, and will have performances daily by a variety of nostalgic bands through August 23. Musical groups include The Commodores, Herman's Hermits starring Peter Noone, The 5th Dimension, Paul Revere And The Raiders, The Four Tops, Bangles, Village People, America and The Monkees starring Davy Jones and Micky Dolenz, among others.

Also in the summer entertainment mix at DISNEY'S CALIFORNIA ADVENTURE is "Lilo & Stitch's Ohana Luau" on Paradise Pier, featuring the stars of the new Disney animated motion picture Lilo & Stitch. Park guests hula with Lilo & Stitch to authentic Hawaiian music, make aloha crafts and pose for pictures with the characters. Other must-sees are "Disney's Eureka! - A California Parade" performing daily, "The Power of BLAST!" musical sensation in the Hyperion Theater, and the California classic, "Disney's Electrical Parade" lighting up nightly with its pageant of beloved Disney characters and toe-tapping soundtrack, "Baroque Hoedown."
Guests can stay at Disney's Paradise Piersm Hotel, which overlooks one of the most colorful areas of DISNEY'S CALIFORNIA ADVENTURE and blends with its playful beach boardwalk culture. This summer, the Walt Disney Travel Company in Southern California has a variety of hotel packages that include "Kids Play Free." Two-night packages, including "Kids Play Free," start from $340 per adult, double adult occupancy at Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel - a savings of $175 per adult off the already value-packed summer pricing. The longer a guest stays, the more they save.
With "Kids Play Free," each child receives a free DISNEYLAND Resort Park Hopper Ticket - with unlimited admission to both DISNEYLAND and DISNEY'S CALIFORNIA ADVENTURE - with each paid adult on a two-night minimum hotel package. (Air inclusive packages are available at an additional cost.) Packages to choose from include Disney's Resort Magic, Disney's Grand Plan and Disney's Land & Sand GetAway with accommodations at one of three DISNEYLAND Resort Hotels. Packages include other extras such as a Magic Morning breakfast and one pre-issued FASTPASS ® ticket. The DISNEYLAND Resort is a multi-day vacation destination offering a variety of entertainment options.
Guests of the 502-room, 15-story Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel also have an exclusive entryway to the new park and spectacular views of park parades. The hotel has Disney character dining at its PCH Grill and traditional Japanese fare at Yamabuki, and is steps away from the exciting DOWNTOWN DISNEY ® District.
