Joe Quenqua On Board to Head New York Publicity Office For Buena Vista Pictures Marketing
Joe Quenqua has been named Vice President, Publicity, for Buena Vista Pictures Marketing, and will oversee all aspects of Buena Vista's publicity campaigns out of New York, it was announced today (8/15) by Heidi Trotta, Senior Vice President, Publicity, for The Walt Disney Studios. Quenqua will report directly to Trotta.
Commenting on the announcement, Trotta said, "Joe's experience and excellent industry relationships make him the ideal candidate -- there's really no aspect of motion picture publicity he hasn't seen firsthand. We're excited to have him on board, heading up our efforts out of New York."
Quenqua leaves his post as Vice President of mPRm Public Relations in New York, where he supervised corporate entertainment accounts and such film release campaigns as "In the Bedroom," "Ghost World," "Kissing Jessica Stein," "The Cat's Meow," and "The Deep End." Prior to that, he served as a personal press representative at PMK Public Relations, working with such clients as Steve Martin, Calista Flockhart, Charlize Theron, and Conan O'Brien.
Quenqua began his career as a junior publicist at PMK and also served as a senior publicist for Kortenhaus Communications in Boston before creating Kortenhaus's first regional office in New York in 1997. He is a graduate of New York University.
