Miramax Films and IFILM.com Launch Special Extended Feature: 'CHICAGO - The Reinvention of an American Art Form'

Miramax Films is proud to present the launch of an exclusive special feature on the making of CHICAGO. For the first time online, visitors can view a nearly 30 minute piece on the extraordinary story behind the making of the hit film. The feature showcases the singing and dancing skills of the cast, but also delves into the important themes of Chicago like fame at all costs, notoriety and the press.

"IFILM has always looked for ways to give its visitors the most compelling video content online," said Adam Stein, EVP, IFILM Network. "This is the longest piece we've ever done on a feature film, and we couldn't be more thrilled that Miramax recognizes how important it is to reach the IFILM audience. We think that this type of promotion on such a brilliant film as groundbreaking as Chicago is a perfect example how best to leverage the Internet. We congratulate Miramax for continuing to be original and innovative."

The special feature includes interviews with all the Academy(R) Award nominated cast and crew members, including Renee Zellweger, Catherine Zeta-Jones and John C. Reilly, as well as director Rob Marshall, producer Martin Richards and writer Bill Condon. In addition, the special showcases scenes of cast rehearsals, the history of the musical, in-depth coverage of the production, and more.

"The incredible collaboration between the best of film, music and theatre, has raised audiences interest in how 'Chicago' was actually made," said Shannon McIntosh SVP Broadcast Production of Miramax. "The fact that the film's stars put in so many long hours learning and practicing to perform their own song and dance routines is both fascinating and inspiring. This online feature includes a wealth of never-before-seen rehearsal footage and on set interviews with the actors and filmmakers, offering great insight and a backstage, insider's look into Chicago's incredible journey to the screen. We are thrilled to be working with IFILM to make this possible."

CHICAGO is now playing in theaters everywhere. To view the special behind-the-scenes feature, log on to http://www.ifilm.com/chicago.
