Walt Disney Internet Group Names Marianne Marck Vice President, Engineering
Marianne Marck has been named vice president of engineering for the Walt Disney Internet Group (WDIG). In this position, she directly manages the organization's Seattle-based engineering teams and oversees Internet systems architecture and major engineering projects.
Marck comes to WDIG from CNET Networks, where she was senior vice president, technology infrastructure. She joined CNET in 1998 as director, database engineering, and was promoted to vice president, technology, in 1999.
Prior to her tenure at CNET, she served as manager, dataserver engineering, at Sybase, Inc. Before that, she was a programmer at the IBM Almaden Research Center.

"Marianne's deep background in engineering, coupled with her managerial experience, aligns perfectly with those future needs."
Marck earned a bachelor of arts degree in mathematics from Mills College, in Oakland, Calif.
