LPWire: Disney's Third Annual Fiesta Latina at DCA Celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month

Disney's Third Annual Fiesta Latina at Disney's California Adventure(tm) Celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month

Highlights Include Chart-topping Latino Entertainment,
Family Ticket and Free Parking Offers

Disney's California Adventure will host a festive celebration in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month when it hosts "Disney's Fiesta Latinaâ€? - a fun-filled cultural event within the park's Pacific Wharf district. Offering world famous Latino musical acts, dancers, food and arts & crafts, the event is presented by Mission ® Foods and will take place during the last three weekends of September; September 13-14, 20-21 and 27-28, and the first weekend of October; October 4-5. In addition to the great entertainment offered in past years, this year's celebration will include a family ticket and free parking offer.

"Disney's California Adventure embraces the rich cultural diversity of the Golden State and America, said Cynthia Harriss, president of the Disneyland Resort. "That is why we are honoring Hispanic Heritage Month. This is a fantastic opportunity for our guests to celebrate and join together as a community to enjoy the festive atmosphere and exciting entertainment at Disney's Fiesta Latina.

Performers scheduled to appear at Disney's Fiesta Latina include 2003 Latin Grammy nominees El General and Alicia Villareal. Additional headliner talent includes Ana Bárbara, Germán Lizárraga, Rogelio Martínez, La Original Banda El Limón, and Area 305, all performing on the Paradise Bay Stage.

In addition to these performers, regional mariachi bands, community youth music groups and ballet folklorico troupes from Southern California will perform throughout the Pacific Wharf district. By day, children and adults can create their own traditional Hispanic crafts at outdoor carts. At night, the Pacific Wharf will heat up with live salsa bands and dancing. Specialty foods will be available, including such tasty fare as tamales, churros, horchata, pan dulce and much more.

Food4Less shoppers can purchase a family ticket, good for five admissions to Disney's California Adventure, for only $141 - a savings of up to $94, and can also register at Food4Less to win a Disney's Fiesta Latina family ticket. Family Tickets are on sale September 3 - October 5 at all Southern California Food4Less locations and are valid from September 3 through December 18. To make visiting Disney's Fiesta Latina even more convenient, a voucher for complimentary event parking is available with any $10 qualifying purchase at participating Southern California Chevron locations. The free parking voucher is good only during Disney's Fiesta Latina weekends at the Disneyland Resort Mickey & Friends parking structure.
