LPWire: Lilo & Stitch tv series Premieres Nov 2 in Canada
Lilo and Stitch continue their lively adventures in "Disney's Lilo and Stitch: The Series," premiering in Canada on Family in November
The talented voice cast from the animated feature film "Lilo and Stitch" returns for Disney's Lilo and Stitch: The Series. The series makes its exclusive Canadian Television Premiere on Family on Sunday, November 2 at 3:25 pm. The 39 half-hour episodes will air Saturdays and Sundays on Family at 3:25 pm (all times ET/PT), kick-starting an afternoon of hit animated series including The Proud Family (3:50 pm), Disney's Fillmore! (4:15 pm) and Disney's Kim Possible (4:40 pm), all part of Family's Non Stop Weekend line-up.
Starring are Daveigh Chase (The Ring) as "Lilo," Chris Sanders as "Stitch," Tia Carrere (Wayne's World) as "Nani," Kevin McDonald (The Kids in the Hall) as "Pleakley," David Ogden Stiers (M.A.S.H) as "Dr. Jumba," Ving Rhames (Pulp Fiction) as "Cobra Bubbles," Kevin Michael Richardson as "Gantu" and Jeff Bennett (Johnny Bravo) as the angry, insulting hamster "Dr. Jacques von Hamsterveil."
Disney's Lilo and Stitch: The Series answers the question: If Stitch was Dr. Jumba's beloved Experiment 626, what happened to the other 625? Jumba's remaining experiments have landed all over Hawaii in the form of dehydrated pods. The experiments become activated when submerged in water and, much like Stitch, each experiment has its own specific talents for destruction...and comedy. Lilo and Stitch's mission is to catch Stitch's "cousins" before they fall into the clutches of the evil Dr. Jacques von Hamsterviel and his henchman Gantu, turn the experiments' natures from bad to good, and find places where each can belong and contribute to the community.
Disney's Lilo and Stitch: The Series is a Walt Disney Television Animation production. The series is executive produced by Tony Craig, Roberts Gannaway and Jess Winfield, and directed by Vic Cook and Don McKinnon.
