Daytime Stars Sparkle at Disney-MGM Studios Nov. 8-9 During Eighth Annual ABC Super Soap Weekend
More than 30 celebrities to appear

More than 30 ABC Daytime stars from "All My Children," "One Life To Live" and "General Hospital" will appear at the eighth annual ABC Super Soap Weekend at Disney-MGM Studios, Nov. 8-9, 2003, at Walt Disney World Resort. The star-studded event will be headlined by "All My Children" actress Susan Lucci.

The fan-friendly event features autograph sessions, Hollywood-style motorcades, star conversations, celebrity concerts and interactive game shows. Fans will also have the opportunity to purchase one-of-a-kind memorabilia from the shows.

ABC Super Soap Weekend is the world's largest annual soap opera fan event.

In addition to Lucci, stars scheduled to appear this year include:

All My Children

  • Rebecca Budig, Tomy Dunster, Michael B. Jordan, Michael E. Knight, Eva La Rue, Cameron Mathison, Alicia Minshew, Eden Riegel, Aiden Turner and Jacob Young.

One Life to Live

Celebrity Hosts

The Street Jam, which takes place both evenings, features soap stars in a live, musical concert showcase. Catherine Hickland ("One Life To Live") will host the celebrity motorcades and star conversations.

In addition, Willey will also host "Casting Call," an event new to Super Soap Weekend where fans get an opportunity to "audition" in front of a live audience to do a scene with an ABC Daytime star.

There will also be special "Super Soap Editions" of "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire-Play It," with ABC stars answering questions in the game's famed "Hot Seat" while audience members play along.

Also, "Soap Talk" -- SOAPnet's Daytime Emmy-nominated daily talk show hosted by Lisa Rinna and Ty Treadway -- will tape four episodes inside the theme park on Nov. 8.

ABC.com once again is hosting the official ABC Super Soap Weekend Web site. Special features on the site include a schedule of weekend events, an interactive map of Disney-MGM Studios and more. The site also provides information on vacation packages for the weekend.

ABC Super Soap Weekend is included in the regular theme park admission at Disney-MGM Studios. Disney-MGM Studios is one of four theme parks at Walt Disney World Resort.
