LPWire: New Year's Eve at Disneyland and Tower of Terror Rose Parade Float

New Year's Eve at Disneyland and Disney's California Adventure
And a New Year's Day Preview

As usual, there are a number of events planned to celebrate New Year's Eve at Disneyland and Disney's California Adventure (DCA). Like last year, DCA will celebrate "Noon" Year's Eve for the youngsters. This year's will be hosted by Radio Disney DJ "BCK - Big City Kid" - Adam Huss at 11:45 a.m. At Disneyland the focal point will be Sleeping Beauty Castle. For a complete list of events at both parks, click here for the information from Disneyland.com.

Below are a few pictures taken of the preparations on December 30th.

Then, on New Year's Day, Disney will have a Twilight Zone Tower of Terror float in the Tournament of Roses Parade. Called "A Sudden Drop in Pitch" the float will be the tallest in Rose Parade history at nearly 100 feet high. If you miss the parade you'll have another chance to see the float at Disney's California Adventure where it will be on display from January 2nd through 20th. The float contains over 50 varieties of seeds and spices as wells as roses, iris, bird of paradise and orchids, and includes special effects including lightning strikes.

Below are some pictures of the float being built sent to us by a friend.
