Disneyland's Tournament of Roses Entry Tallest in Parade History

Disneyland's Twilight Zone Tower of Terror float for the Tournament of Roses Parade, titled "A Sudden Drop in Pitch" will be the tallest in Rose Parade history at nearly 100 feet high. Thanks to 11 hydraulic pumps the parade float is able to reach to its full height as well as fold down to 17 1/2 feet to safely travel under the freeway overpass at Sierra Madre Blvd. This float will appear in the #41 spot during the Rose Parade. HGTV offers a Guide to the Rose Parade  with an alphabetical and numerical parade order listing, helping to ensure you won't miss your favorite.

The Rose Parade begins at 11a EST / 8a PST. In the Los Angeles area, the parade can be viewed on KCBS (2), KABC (7), and KTLA (5). Cable stations HGTV and the Travel Channel will also carry the parade live.

However if you'd like to view the float up close stop by Disney's California Adventure where it will be on display from January 2nd through 20th. The float contains over 50 varieties of seeds and spices as wells as roses, iris, bird of paradise and orchids, and includes special effects including lightning strikes.

Work continues on the float, flowers will continue to placed on it throughout the day. At some point today, possibly late evening, the float will make its way from Azusa to Pasadena, about 20 miles away.
