2004 Arielcon Itinerary
The Arielholics invite you to join them this weekend at Walt Disney World for a variety of Ariel activities. The itinerary is listed below and all Ariel fans are welcome.
Friday January 23rd- MGM Studios
9:30 a.m. - Meet at the usual--Sid Cahuengas directly on the left as you enter MGM studios. Lotsa hugs, pictures and introductions.
10:00 a.m. March down MGM's main street in our bright green Arielcon shirts and head to Voyage of the Little Mermaid! It's actually open this year! The meeting afterwards is up in the air right now.....we will sea what happens.
11-11:30 a.m. Go to Mickey avenue directly across from Who Wants to Be a Millionaire and watch Andy-mation create his wonderful balloons!
12:30 a.m. Meet up at the commisary restaurant and Alex our favorite artist will be back to sea us again.
After this I am turning everyone loose on the park. The park is open until 7 p.m. and Fantasmic is at 7 p.m. The Stars and Motor Cars parade is at 3:30 p.m. with Ariel! For everyone who wants to sea the parade I will be in front of Star Tours saving a spot for us at 3:00 p.m.
We will meet back at All Star Music at 9 p.m. and watch Little Mermaid on the big screen and do our gift exchange. Actually we will do our gift exchange first! For anyone who wants to participate in the gift exchange just buy a little mermaid themed gift and wrap it up real purty and don't spend more than $10.00 and bring it with you that night.
Saturday January 24th
9:30 a.m.- meet in front of the castle for pictures with your Arielcon shirt on.
10:15 a.m. Ariel's Grotto!
11:15 a.m. Mickey's Philarmagic. I am VERY excited about this! A new Ariel to view! This is the new 3-D show with a very nice Ariel part to it. We will probably fast pass this on the way to Ariel's Grotto so make sure to keep your tickets handy.
Noonish- Back in front of Ariel's Grotto is a whole area with seats where we will meet and I will give you your scavenger hunt. Yep! I am going to turn you guys loose on the magic kingdom with cameras. You will have until 7 p.m. to finish them up and get them to me.
2:30 p.m. Meet up for the parade in Frontierland right in front of the Shooting Gallery. There is a nice wooden platform to stand on (or sit on ) and take good pictures or videos.
5:30 p.m. I am staking out a place on Main Street to watch Spectra Magic right in front of Casey's and then we will stand right in the middle of the street to watch Wishes the new fireworks show. Spectra Magic is at 6:30 and Wishes is at 7:00 p.m.
Back to the All Star Music Cafeteria to find out who is the Pretty, Pretty, Princess. And I will have my whole collection of mermaid pins with me for everyone to look through and all kinds of socializing fun.
Sunday, January 25th
10 a.m. Meet at the Kona Cafe at the Polynesian Hotel and eat Tonga Toast until we explode. For those who are not early risers or breakfast eaters I will be handing out pictures and final awards at the Polynesian hotel in the upstairs lounge area at 12 noon sharp. By 1:30 I will sadly adjourn another Arielcon.
I am sure as usual there will be several updates to this but the park days will NOT change. Epcot and Animal Kingdom are fun places to go but there is NO ARIEL in these. If you wish to explore these parks I will be happy to give you pointers on making your visit the best so feel free to e-mail me or ask me live and in person.
This is not associated with the Disney Company in any way shape or form. It is just a bunch of really wonderful people getting together to share their common love of The Little Mermaid. If you are under the age of 18 I ask that you bring an adult with you and make sure to get their permission. That's the boring stuff......Hit the print button and lets go have fun!!!
