LPWire: An Easter Celebration in Disneyland Paris
An Easter Celebration
in Disneyland Paris
From 19 March to 8 April 2005
Disneyland Resort Paris is getting ready to celebrate Easter from 19 March to 8 April 2005! Disneyland Park will invite children of all ages to enjoy this most enchanting Easter season, along with a host of favourite characters from Disney’s Classic animated feature, Alice in Wonderland. Wonders are guaranteed!
At the entrance to Disneyland Park, guests will be guided to the all-new Easter Village by a system of novel signs featuring the White Rabbit. Alice’s friend will show guests the way to Fantasyland - the first time this land has been used as the focal point of the Easter celebrations.

Three beautifully decorated arches will welcome visitors to the Easter Village, where a host of Easter themed entertainment awaits. Rabbits have long been the universal symbol for Easter, so a giant egg filled with hundreds of cuddly-toy bunnies representing Thumper, the season’s mascot, will be set up near Alice’s Curious Labyrinth. Since the Easter holiday heralds the arrival of spring, special attention will also be paid to grooming our flowerbeds into a feast for the eyes!
An egg-citing hunt!
Alice’s Curious Labyrinth will be the setting for a gigantic Easter egg hunt. There will be several Easter egg hunts organised each day for children aged 2-6, while bigger children aged from 6-10 will also have their own hunts. All over the labyrinth, children are sure to have great fun as they trek through the hedges and groves to find the hidden eggs.
Whims-egg-cal characters!
This celebration of spring will be a time of surprises for all, as guests are plunged into the Easter eggs-perience in Fantasyland. Alice’s Wonderland will come alive throughout the season, with guests perhaps crossing the path of the Queen of Hearts’ servants – gigantic playing cards - as they emerge from the labyrinth. They’re also very likely to run into the White Rabbit, still running late - as always! - or the Walrus, Tweedledum and Tweedledee or even the Queen of Hearts herself!
Fantastic and original characters will also be seen strolling in the streets. In costumes reminiscent of the Mad Hatter, dancers will pirouette among the visitors, either individually or in groups, having fun by imitating children or enchanting them with fantastic stories told in a most curious language…

Through the looking glass
All day long, the curious world of Alice will be in the spotlight on the Fantasy Festival Stage. Each morning, the theatre will awaken with a fabulous “Good Morning? fanfare. Elegant ladies and gentlemen will be dressed in their finest, calling out greetings of welcome to the whole world.

The all-new “Golden Afternoons? will offer guests a delightful encounter with Daffodil, Violet, Pansy, Tiger Lily and more. The flowers will sing and dance, uplifting all visitors with their good humour.
The Mad Hatter will invite all his friends to a “Mad Tea Party?. This happening sees all kinds of gigantic objects come to life, like cups and saucers, spoons, a teapot, sugar cubes, an un-birthday cake and more - fun for the young and young at heart alike!

Children’s Egg-tivities
In addition to the Easter egg hunt and exciting encounters, children will have the opportunity to take part in two different workshops. In the first of these, they will learn how to make delicious sweet kebabs made of chocolate, under the guidance of Disneyland Resort Paris’ pastry chefs, who will lead them step-by-step through the process. Next, the children will become fledgling artists in the second workshop, an egg-decorating course that will be held on the terrace of the Old Mill.
