Coca-Cola to Become the Official Soft Drink of ESPN Zone Nationwide
Atlanta Braves' Outfielders Andruw Jones And Brian Jordan Will Serve New Coca- Cola Zero to ESPN Zone Guests in Atlanta to Raise Money for Local Charities
Coca-Cola products will become the "Official Soft
Drink" of ESPN Zone nationwide, it was announced today by Disney Regional
Entertainment, a Division of The Walt Disney Company, which operates the eight
ESPN Zone sports-themed restaurants across the country. In addition to making
Coca-Cola products the exclusive soft drinks of ESPN Zone, "This alliance opens
the door for marketing and promotional events at each of our locations which
will enhance our guests' experience," said Regynald Washington, vice president
and general manager, Disney Regional Entertainment.
To kick off this new partnership, ESPN Zone and Coca-Cola have organized a
charity event in Atlanta on June 9th from 11:30 am - 1:00 pm. SportsCenter
anchor Jay Harris will be at the Zone's Buckhead location where Atlanta Braves'
stars Andruw Jones and Brian Jordan will serve complimentary 20-ounce bottles of
Coca-Cola Zero, the highly anticipated new soft drink from Coca-Cola North
America, to guests dining at ESPN Zone's Atlanta location. Proceeds from the
event will benefit the Boys and Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta.
"Much like ESPN Zones have become the focal point of sports entertainment in
each of their locations, Coca-Cola has been synonymous with sports for decades,"
said Bill Levisay, senior vice president customer and alliance marketing,
Coca-Cola North America. "With our shared sports heritage, teaming Coca-Cola
with ESPN Zones is a perfect fit. And now people can enjoy a refreshing
Coca-Cola every time they experience the excitement of ESPN Zones."
The relationship between The Coca-Cola Company and The Walt Disney Company
started in the early days of television with when Coca-Cola sponsored of "The
Wonderful World of Disney." That relationship was formalized on Disneyland's

California afternoon. With the addition of ESPN Zone, Coca-Cola will be the
