Tokyo DisneySea Park will cap its 5th Anniversary celebrations with a special event entitled “Tokyo DisneySea Spring Carnival,�? beginning March 21. This vibrant festival will celebrate the coming of spring and will feature light-hearted music, a bounteous profusion of beautiful spring flowers, and the Disney characters.
Flowers will be used to decorate many areas of the Park, and attractions such as Venetian Gondolas and the DisneySea Transit Steamer Line will be adorned with blossoms as well. There will even be a flower wagon located at the piazza in Mediterranean Harbor, and Disney character topiaries all around the themed port will be garlanded with the lovely blooms of spring, allowing guests to enjoy the festival mood to its fullest.
During the event period, the entertainment program “Primavera�? will be performed twice daily in Mediterranean Harbor. In the show, the Disney characters will appear in vividly colored costumes and invite the guests to a lively carnival. The exciting program will feature many opportunities for guest participation through hand clapping and waving handkerchiefs.
A total of 17 restaurants in the Park will offer flower-themed special menus for the event, and there will also be approximately 60 kinds of event-themed merchandise available at Park shops.
Tokyo DisneySea Park’s 5th Anniversary celebrations began on July 14, 2006. The Park’s official anniversary is on September 4.

Entertainment Programs
Primavera
Location: Mediterranean Harbor
Performances: Twice Daily
Duration: Approx. 20 min.
“Primavera�? is a carnival in which guests can celebrate the arrival of spring with the Disney characters. The show begins when the King and Queen of the Carnival, Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, appear aboard a DisneySea Transit Steamer. Next, groups of dancers and musicians dressed in colorful costumes appear and the festivities begin. Soon the rest of the Disney friends appear in fun costumes of their own and Mediterranean Harbor begins to brim over with excitement.
The show lets guests join in the celebration by inviting them to perform activities such as waving their handkerchiefs or Park guides in the air to make “fields of flowers,�? clapping their hands to the rhythm of the music, and more. The dancing and music of the Disney characters and performers combined with the participation of the guests is sure to create an unforgettable climax and fill the harbor with a vibrant energy, making a truly memorable experience for everyone.
Other Programs
The stage for “Cape Cod Step Out�? will be
decorated with flowers and will feature additional scenes just for the Spring
Carnival event. Also, the “Rhythmic Pimentos�? in Lost River Delta will be
performing spring-themed music, and there will be other 5th anniversary
entertainment programs that will help create a festive atmosphere.
Note: Entertainment programs are subject to change or cancellation due to inclement weather, etc.
Character Clips
All guests visiting the Park on April 6 will receive original “Tokyo DisneySea Spring Carnival�? character clips with valid Park Passports. Limit one per guest.

At the Sailing Day Buffet Restaurant, the dessert corner of the Tokyo DisneySea 5th Anniversary Special Buffet will feature an assortment of desserts inspired by a field of flowers*.
Also, the popular 5th Anniversary wine seminar program will feature a selection of wines themed to flowers during the special event period. The seminars have a limit of 18 people per day (\3,800 per person, offered on Wednesday, March 21 and Fridays through Mondays from March 23 through April 30).
Special Merchandise
Shops in the Park will offer approximately 60 kinds of event-themed merchandise during the event period. For example, there will be “Flower Headbands,*�? which allow guests to select different flowers and create their own headbands, items with carnival-themed designs, and other exciting items.

DisneySea Academy: Flowers & Trees Tour
From Wednesday, March 21 through Saturday, June 30, Tokyo DisneySea will offer the “DisneySea Academy: Flowers & Trees Tour.�? This tour will be offered in Japanese, and will introduce various elements of the ports’ themes and the Disney philosophy as they relate to plants and trees in the Park and the overall Park environment. At the end of the tour participants will also be treated to some herb tea at the Zambini Brothers’ Ristorante.
