Mirror, Mirror on the Wall ... Who Will Land Their Dreamiest Disney 'Job' of All?

With only one week left, votes are critical and every minute counts as 100 of the most creative CareerBuilder.com-Disney Dream "Job" finalists rally friends and family for support while they compete to win their ultimate Disney Dream "Job" during Disney Parks' "Year of a Million Dreams" celebration.

Since launching the Dream "Job" search online March 6, there have been more than 1 million page views at http://www.careerbuilder.com/disneydreamjobs and nearly 500,000 votes have been cast. America has until 11:59:59 p.m. EDT on March 30 to view and vote online for their favorite Dream "Job" finalists.

From glass slippers to jungle safaris, finalists anxiously await to hear if they landed their Disney Dream "Job" as a Princess-in-Waiting, Pirate, Haunted Mansion Butler or Maid, Jungle Cruise Skipper or Disney Park Parade Performer. Five winners from each category will be granted the opportunity to live out their Disney Dream "Job" for the day at the Disneyland Resort in June 2007 during the grand opening of Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage.

"We could not have anticipated the popularity of our online Dream "Job" search," said Michael Mendenhall, executive vice president, global marketing, Disney Destinations. "The enthusiasm and creativity that each finalist put into their online video was amazing. And with over a half a million votes and seven more days to go, our finalists are out for some steep competition. We wish them all a "happily ever after.'"

Hundreds of Dream "Job" wannabes submitted their online video resumes showcasing their most original and creative attributes, including their reasons for wanting to work at a Disney Park, qualifications and skills for their desired position and why this is their Disney Parks Dream "Job."

NashuaTelegraph:  Nashua man hopes audition wins him dream Disney job
Timothy Dunne of Nashua, NH and co-owner of Fright Fest NH is hoping to be a Haunted Mansion butler. Dunne is a demolition contractor and a member of the International Association of Haunted Attractions. Talking about the Mansion he say, "As far as I'm concerned, Disney Haunted Mansions set the bar for all haunted mansions."

Krista Nevarez, a fourth grade teacher at Stanley Elementary, Kansas is hoping to be a princess-in-waiting. She declares, "I just can't get enough. I went again last year and going again this summer. I'm addicted to Disney."



EasternAZCourier: Local man vies for Disney ‘dream job'
Scott Russell, a computer instructor at Eastern Arizona College is hoping to be a honorary Pirate.
"I think it would be great for a local guy to represent the Gila Valley at Disneyland,� Russell said.

CAAggie: UC Davis Studen Named Finalist in Disney Princess Contest
Lauren Scott a UC Davis student hopes to be a princess-in-waiting. She says, "I feel like a lot of people who are doing the contest are doing it to win the trip," she said. "I want to work there. Everyone has a dream when they're little, and I want this more than anything. You should never give up -- you have to believe in your dreams."

JorDan Tripp of Orem, UT is hoping to be a princess-in-waiting. As a 3 year old, she carried around a blue balloon weiner dog with her from Disneyland everyday until it finally popped.
 

KESQ: A Palm Springs man's dream job at Disney
Sam Vines of Palm Springs, CA is hoping to be a butler at the Haunted Mansion. His home is a tribute to the Disneyland attraction. Talking about the contest he told the local news, "It's a tough competition there's a lot of people that are getting the vote out. And I need the votes.
