The Magic and Mystery Continue as Production Begins on the Disney Channel Sequel "Twitches Too" Starring Tia and Tamera Mowry
The sequel to the top-rated Disney Channel Original Movie "Twitches" starring real-life sisters Tia and Tamera Mowry ("Sister, Sister"), "Twitches Too" begins production in Toronto this month. A mystery/adventure, "Twitches Too" picks up after the long-lost sisters save their mother and their newly found magical kingdom of Coventry. It is scheduled to premiere this fall on Disney Channel.Based on a popular teen book series by H.B. Gilmour and Randi Reisfeld, "Twitches" was the #1 basic cable movie of 2005 in Total Viewers (7.0 million), Households (4.6 million), Kids 6-11 (3.0 million), Girls 6-11 (1.9 million), Tweens 9-14 (2.7 million) and Girls 9-14 (1.8 million).
After discovering they are both twin sisters and princesses, Alex Fielding (Tia Mowry) and Camryn Barnes (Tamera Mowry) begin learning about each other and what it means to have magical powers. As Camryn embraces the royal lifestyle in Coventry, Alex is eager to begin her new life as a college student. While trying to live as normally as possible in their new surroundings, an evil darkness continues to threaten their existence. The sisters uncover evidence that their missing father, Aaron, may be alive.
Joining the cast of "Twitches Too" are Kristen Wilson ("Dr. Doolittle," "Walking Tall") as Miranda, Jackie Rosenbaum ("In a Heartbeat") as Beth Fish, Pat Kelly ("Crimes of Fashion") as Karsh, Leslie Sieler as Ileana, Patrick Fabian ("Veronica Mars") as the evil Thantos, Chris Gallinger (Disney Channel's "Cow Belles") as Demitri, Jayne Eastwood ("Wedding Wars") as Mrs. Norseng and Kevin Jubinville ("Doc") as Aron.
"Twitches Too" was written by Dan Berendsen (Disney Channel's "Stuck in the Suburbs") and is directed by Stuart Gillard (Disney Channel's "Going to the Mat"). The producer is Kevin Lafferty (Disney Channel's "Jump In!") with Carla Singer ("Love Lessons") serving as executive producer. "Twitches Too" is a production of Broomsticks Productions Ltd
