(September 11, 2007) Oriental Land Co., Ltd. announced today that Mr. Makoto Ohtaka, a 37-year-old chef at Tokyo Disneyland Park, was awarded the grand prize at the �Le Taittinger 41e Prix Culinaire International Japon.� This was Mr. Ohtaka�s second entry in this competition. Having won the grand prize, he will travel to Paris to enter the �Prix Culinaire International Pierre Taittinger� to be held in December as the representative from Japan, and compete for the international title against contestants from 7 other countries.

Established in 1984, this annual culinary competition in Japan is the only one directly linked to an international competition. The winner goes on to compete with contestants worldwide in the �Prix Culinaire International Pierre Taittinger.� A total of 95 French cuisine chefs nationwide entered this year�s �Le Taittinger 41e Prix Culinaire International Japon.� Eight contestants remained after the first document screening process. For the second screening, contestants were required to prepare within 5 hours both the original recipe that they proposed for their first screening and a dish selected by the committee chairman.

Upon receiving the award, Mr. Ohtaka commented: �I am very happy that my daily efforts have been rewarded thus. I am very proud of this prize, and will continue to work toward enhancing the quality of the food provided at the Park.�
