Adding to the fun, Disneys Soda Fountain and Studio Store (located adjacent to the El Capitan Theatre) will be serving up The WALLE Sundae, an imaginative out-of-this-world dessert with a brownie tread foundation, piled high with two scoops of vanilla ice cream, drizzled with chocolate sauce, and topped off with a chocolate mold of WALLEs eyes to complete the treat.
Commenting on the announcement, Breier said, WALLE is great entertainment for the entire family. And only at the El Capitan will audiences get to experience the film digitally projected in a spectacular setting, along with a wonderful live stage show and a fascinating space exploration display. Moviegoers are going to love seeing WALLE at the El Capitan Theatre with everything we have to offer.
Set in a galaxy not so very far away, Disney/Pixars WALLE is an original and exciting comedy about a determined robot. After hundreds of lonely years doing what he was built for, WALLE (short for Waste Allocation Load Lifter Earth-Class) discovers a new purpose in life (besides collecting knick-knacks) when he meets a sleek search robot named EVE. EVE comes to realize that WALLE has inadvertently stumbled upon the key to the planets future, and is whisked back to space to report her findings to the humans (who have been eagerly awaiting word on board the luxury spaceship Axiom that it is safe to return home). Meanwhile, WALLE chases EVE across the galaxy and sets into motion one of the most incredible comedy adventures ever brought to the big screen. Joining WALLE on his fantastic journey across a universe of never-before-imagined visions of the future is a hilarious cast of characters including a pet cockroach, and a heroic team of malfunctioning misfit robots.
WALLE is the latest film from Academy Award-winning writer-director Andrew Stanton (Finding Nemo), who joined Pixar in 1990 and went on to write the first five Pixar features, co-direct A Bugs Life, executive produce Monsters, Inc., and win an Oscar for Best Animated Feature for Finding Nemo. Jim Morris was the films producer, with John Lasseter serving as executive producer.
