Reservations for Epcot Food and Wine Festival Special Events Open on August 25th

(August 12, 2008) The 13th annual Epcot International Food & Wine Festival, which kicks off Sept. 26 for its event-packed six-week run, will begin booking popular reservation-only events. The special events have proven to be extremely popular with Food & Wine Festival guests, and availability is limited.

Reservation bookings begin at 7:00 a.m. Eastern Time on August 25, 2008. Reservations can be made by calling 407-WDW-FEST (939-3378). Event details will be posted on August 22nd at www.disneyworld.com/food. Reservation-only festival events start at $55 (plus tax, gratuity included) per person.

The Cook, the Book and the Bottle (9/26, 10/3, 10/10, 10/17, 10/24, 10/31, 11/7)
Observe an acclaimed cookbook author prepare a delicious three-course lunch and leave with an autographed book, a commemorative bottle of wine and a memorable experience. A notable wine principal presents the accompanying wine and a memorable experience!

Kitchen Conversations (10/2, 10/9, 10/16, 10/23, 10/30, 11/6)
Visit with an acclaimed television personality and discover how he or she enjoys life in - and outside - the kitchen! Culinary demonstration, single-dish tasting and an autographed copy of the celebrity's book are included in this delightful event.

A Regional Feast (10/22)
This is a rare opportunity to enjoy a sumptuous feast diligently crafted by regional Chefs with tremendous talent. The evening includes a welcome reception, a four course meal and authentic musical performers from the featured country.

Walt Disney World Resort Signature Dining (11/2, 11/7)
Hosted in the most prestigious Walt Disney World Resort restaurants
Walt Disney World Signature Restaurant chefs invite a celebrity chef into their kitchens to prepare a four or five-course meal. All dining events are accompanied by great wines and hosted by a renowned vinter.

Party for the Senses (10/4, 10/11, 10/18, 10/25, 11/1, 11/8)
Feast on this tribute to the sensory arts! Begin your evening with a reserved seat at the Eat to the Beat concert series at the America Gardens Theatre. Following the show, World ShowPlace becomes the setting for an amazing evening showcasing the talents of more than 25 eminent chefs and over 70 wines and beers. Wander amongst various tasting stations in the midst of imaginative decor and awe-inspiring acts from Cirque du Soleil, La Nouba.

Food & Wine Pairings (Most Saturdays, Mondays & Tuesdays)
These late afternoon sessions are great opportunities to discover a marriage of three regional wines with three tasting-size portions of regional cuisines from Epcot Signature restaurants. A winemaker will moderate each session and the theme will vary as outlined below. Featured wineries and menu selections will change daily.

Vertical Wine Tastings (10/5, 10/12, 11/2, 11/9)
This is a rare opportunity for wine lovers to experience a tasting of ten vintages from exceptional global vineyards.

Sweet Sundays (9/28, 10/5, 10/12, 10/19, 10/26, 11/2, 11/9)
Indulge your sweet tooth as a celebrity pastry chef demonstrates three signature desserts! A welcome continental breakfast buffet, including sparkling wine, is available at each event and the desserts will be sampled throughout the session.
