Mickey is having his Tennis Party at Disneyland Paris

(May 19, 2009) Marne-la-Vallée, May 2009 - Mickey has yet another surprise for us, during his Magical Party. Always up to date on the latest fads and following his achievements in break-dance, he is now beckoning us to a tennis court. But not just any tennis court … A few days before the Roland Garros tournament, Mickey has invited Gaël Monfils, Stanislav Wawrinka and the French «Fête le Mur» association to Disneyland Paris, for a major «Tennis Party» that will undoubtedly be magic.
Mickey’s Magical Set
Since 4 April 2009, Disneyland Paris has been celebrating Mickey’s Magical Party, a year dedicated to the most famous mouse of all with novelties that are more interactive than ever. A few days before the Roland Garros tournament, Mickey has decided to celebrate tennis and to pick up his racket for an exceptional match. A great first time!
A «Master Series» for Mickey and Gaël Monfils
On Wednesday 20 May 2009, everyone met at Main Street, U.S.A. (Disneyland Park), near Sleeping Beauty’s Castle to discover an unbelievable tennis encounter. Mickey will face Gaël Monfils and Stanislav Wawrinka on a short-lived court (with quasi-official dimensions) especially set up for this occasion.
Disneyland Paris invited 200 children from the French “Fête le Mur” association, founded by Yannick Noah, to participate in this more than unusual exchange. The association, set up in the heart of 25 under-privileged Urban Zones, allows the children of those neighborhoods to practice tennis, to train and perfect themselves, and some of them to later find a professional opening. On Wednesday 20 May a child from the association had the opportunity to play tennis with Gaël Monfils, Stanislav Wawrinka and Mickey!
While waiting for the big encounter, Mickey is practicing his service and awaits guests every day at Disneyland Paris to celebrate and transmit his good mood to every corner of the world!
