Disneyland Resort Scholarship Program Celebrates $250,000 Milestone

The Disneyland® Resort Scholarship Program, open to Orange County high school seniors, is accepting online applications now through January 31.

The Resort will award a total of $50,000 in scholarships to 10 college-bound seniors who demonstrate excellence in volunteerism and leadership. The Resort’s scholarship program recognizes individuals committed to making a difference in the Orange County community.

Amanda Jeries, from Orange County High School of the Arts, was surprised to learn that she was one of the 2009 scholarship recipients. Last year’s honorees were recognized at a special dinner at the Disneyland® Hotel.

In 2010, the Disneyland® Resort Scholarship Program will celebrate its fifth anniversary and have awarded more than $250,000 in scholarships.

Applicants must live in Orange County, attend a public or private high school in Orange County, be a graduating senior who intends to pursue secondary education and have accumulated 100 or more volunteer hours between January 1, 2009 and December 31, 2009 through one or more charitable nonprofit organizations.
